  1. And isn't Arbeloa first choice left back for Spain now? Just something my lad told me over the weekend.
  2. Why are you explaining yourself to this bellend? "No way you are getting away with that" who the f*** is he exactly the Police or Red Paul??
  3. And what control over transfers has he got exactly? All you hear on this site is "He has to settle for 9th choice", "He was lied to about transfer funds", "He didn't know he wasn't getting the money from the saleof X,Y,Z". Now it's the common "They're going to sell X,Y,Z without his consent" - but he's putting up with this purely because he loves the club and the fans??? Equal money lay where exactly? And facts not "Everyone knows that Madrid would offer him "10M a year if he was interested" hearsay! What would be Rafa's next job if he left here tomorrow, United, Chelsea, Barca, Madrid, Milan? If I washim I'd want to stay here as well, we are one of the biggest clubs in World football with the greatest support bar none, and whatever mistakes he makes it doesn't matter because it's all the fault of Hicks and Gilett!
  4. So why did he sign it then? Seriously, you all say how he has the clubs and the fans best interests at heart so why on God's Earth would he sign a contract with a clause like that in it? Unless £5M a year is what he considers to be his best interest?
  5. The best reason I can think of for making Carra manager! And apparently the best reasons for keeping Rafa are; 1) Can't afford his payoff due to the nice new contract he negotiated. 2) Someone else might do worse . 3) Anny road says it would be different but those nasty Americans lied to Rafa about his budget - why hasn't Rafa resigned if he's being undermined like this, could it REALLY be all about the money he'll lose?
  6. We don't have to accept anything at all, if the player coming in isn't better than what we've got then we shouldn't sign them, remember Voronin and Pennant? It was Rafa's choice to go into this season with NGog as Torres's back up and now it's bit him on the a*** you want to come on here apologising for him and the possible future f*** up he could make as well??? He could have kept Arbeloa and bought a striker, he could have signed Johnson and a striker instead of Aquilani but he didn't. Rafa is manager of Liverpool football club and he must live and die by the decisions he makes, he's currently dying by them.
  7. To be honest I'm starting to get a grudging respect for your perticular strain of lunacy, no matter how the facts stare you in the face you refuse to accept them - and I applaud you for that! How could they have "parked the bus" when they had better chances than us, does that mean that we parked the bus as well? If you thought all in the garden was rosy after the Spurs performance - which was a bloody welcome result - then you're the very epitomy of knee-jerk, because we were far from wonderful. Where is the pace in the side? Rafa off, sooner the better.
  8. yes I comprehend present tense do you comprehend typing clearly? So at this precise moment in time you want to discuss Wengers purchases against Rafa's, conveniently excluding the many excellent ones Wenger's made in the past! No Wenger hasn't currently got a striker as good as Torres, although his Arsenal team without a recognised striker currently playing, are outscoring us by 19 goals and are 10 points in front of us with a game in hand in the PL and still in the CL. Midfielder as good as Alonso or Masch, Yes Fabregas who cost significantly less. Using your criteria you can't actually have Alonso because he plays for Real Madrid. Why don't you want to compare wide midfielders? Defender as good as Agger - Gallas if you only count CB's but Vermaelen(sp?) looks like he might turn out to be a good buy and Danny boy is having a wobble and looks like he is made of glass, why don't you want to compare fullbacks, we've got Johnson who cost £17M they musn't have anyone as good as him surely? I'm sure very few if any on here will agree that Adebayor is anywhere near as good as Torres, it's all about opinions! I'm sure that very few on here will agree with your rubbish either.
  9. You're on about Wenger here right? I've got no idea what point you're massively failing to prove here but just in 30 seconds; Henry as good if not better than Torres, Adebayor arguably as good as but a different type of striker - bearing in mind that Torres is one of the very best in the World. Torres in midfield? I presume you mean Alonso - World cup winners Viera and Petit were both better, Fabregas is, out wide it's a massacre for Wenger, Overmars, Pires, Ljungberg, - right now not one of our wide players would get near Arsenals first team. Defence - Wouldn't know where to start here, he's always had far better fullbacks than us, he's currently got 3 leftbacks who are all better than what we've got. Toure was a great CB for Arsenal, Gallas is a great player though nearing the end of his days, And Wenger doesn't use two holding midfielders in front of his back 4. What media line, and you're the one that obviously doesn't comprehend the word scrutiny?????
  10. Using your figures thats a spend of £231M on the squad, I know that several players have been bought and sold for the same position - and that we have recouped a lot of money as well - but thats still a ton of money to spend and to still be moaning that we have no strength in depth. Also, after over 5 seasons there are still positions where we are arguably no stronger or even weaker than when we started.
  11. I only had a minute and didn't see this so i'll edit my previous post - sorry! I've just checked the last couple of pages and Sion posted it way before me - can't edit my earlier post either!
  12. Flamini's available isn't he - was excellent in CM for Arsenal, and can play almost anywhere as a bonus as well.
  13. If Spearing got 20 games in a row he might be looking better than Lucas who is distinctly below average at most things. Can't believe anyone but you would want to argue over the cigarette paper's width difference in talent between Lucas - who should be nowhere near starting for Liverpool's first choice eleven - and Spearing who could probably do as good a job if given all the chances that Lucas has had. I'm not advocating playing Spearing as frankly they're both unlikely to ever be good enough. RE: Allan Green I just pointed out the fact that he definitely knows more about football than you do, but it's not just confined to him. You'll be pleased to know that you're probably shading it in the "arrogant, stuck up your own @rse" competition though
  14. What a pile of typically arrogant horses***. Allan Green has forgotten more about how the game should be played than you'll ever know. Have you seen the game today? It was f***ing dire, as most of our performances have been this season - now off you go trying to prove you actually know anything about football and failing. Are you and Madabouteverything related?
  15. not completely but altering the formation of our side to only end up drawing at Stoke with the team we had out today isn't worth £5M a year. Kuyt up front? Aurelio at LM with Insua at LB??? Yossi at RM with the two crabs at CM??? 5 at the back??? Degen on the pitch??? Did you listen to the commentary on radio 5 today with Liverpool supporter Allan Green?? "When willl this end?" "Please, please let the 2nd half be better than this!" "Two poor sides here today, please someone pass the ball along the floor!" Dire is the word that springs to mind.
  16. Oh for god's sake, Rafa isn't doing this for Ant's benefit is he??? He's doing an extremely well-paid job that he's pretty good at and provides him with his multi-million pound salary and lifestyle. Ant is well out of order on occasion with the deliberate wind-ups, but sometimes you're all just as bad with the attempts to make Rafa into Saint Rafa! What has he done exactly above and beyond the call of his job? I remember people saying we could never sach GH because he'd nearly died for us, what's Rafa done above that???
  17. I logged on today and got a warning that I wasn't then allowed to read. Can you either send it again or email me it please so I can see what it's for?? As far as I can recall I only called one poster one rude name and that was for linking me to McKenzie, and if he'd done it to my face i would have banged the prick. michaelrounthwaite@hotmail.com Thanks.
  18. So why are you on here trying to slag everyone off that disagrees with you then? And Anti-Rafa doesn't mean Anti-Liverpool can you not grasp that?
  19. Seriously keep your Mckenzie references to yourself you Prick.
  20. Regardless of whether you think he should stay or not, only an idiot wouldn't see how easy he's made it for them; is this "hounded out by the media" going to be the new apology for him?? Along with we can't compete with Reading because he hasn't spent as much as City??? No-one else in the world could get us into 7th place with a team containing Gerrard, Reina, Agger, Johnson, Mascherano and Torres etc??? We're 7th in the PL and losing more than 1 in 3 games, we're out of every cup we've entered and have to play in the Europa cup which lets not forget we've taken the piss out of massively until now, we've been beaten at home by Reading, and the vast majority of players that Rafa has bought are either not good enough or do not want to play for him - and it's only January. Rafa bought Alonso's replacement who wasn't fit until we were out of the PL and the CL, Rafa spent £16M+ on a RB when last seasons one was sold to Real Madrid for £3Mish and was good enough to get us into 2nd. Can we post the result of the "I love Rafa more than my football team, my wife and my kids" competition so the rest of us mere mortals know where we stand. My money's on Andy.
  21. Well when he goes you go with him then! in your initial post you amazingly put the poor results last in your list of delusional reasons why he's under pressure, how very typical of you. And who are these multiple title winning, successful international ex-players to disagree with you, what the f*** could they possibly know about football and the goings on at Anfield????? Johnny foreigner??? Wenger, Mourinho, Capello, etc, etc, etc, none of them hounded out because they're foreign??? You're still an attention seeking drama queen quoting your opinion as the only possible conclusion, and you couldn't be more wrong. Rafa is under pressure because he's lost the players.
  22. Moyes
  23. Hasn't Purslow just negotiated a record new sponsorship deal for the club? The problem for the Yanks is that their plan - and it was a good one for them - to spend little and bleed all the CL money fron the club didn't allow for Man City being billionaires, or Villa and Spurs having money to burn, and us struggling to qualify for thr CL. Re: Rafa and the players it's obvious that something is wrong, whoes fault that is is up for debate but the performances and football we're playing are shocking. Torres must love having the ball hoofed at him 30 times a game! Senior players such as Carra and Kuyt underperforming could actually be them playing to their level now - the debate has been held on here for a couple of years about Carra's decline and it's been written off as "he's worth his place becaue of his organising ability". He's never been quick, always been a very poor passer of the ball and it looks like his days SHOULD be numbered, Kuyt was criticised on his arrival for lack of pace, poor first touch etc but his workrate and goals got him a pass for a while and they don't now. Yossi was £5M from West Ham, for that you get an inconsistent player which is what he is - he shouldn't be expected to be a world beater surely? Riera was an average player at Man City before they were rich, he started well and has faded, again wide players suffer when they lack pace - I and a few others said at the time we should have paid the extra million and got Milner. Aquilani cost £20M so why mention what we paid up front? Did we pay £20M up front for Keane, £18M up front for Johnson, Did Real Madrid pay £30M in cash for alonso? Rafa's last 3 expensive signings have been Keane - £20M, Johnson - £18M and Aquilani - £20M - make of that what you want. Any team containing Reina, Agger, Mascherano, Gerrard, Torres straight down the middle should be performing better than we are - I'm not paid to sort it out but Rafa is surely?
  24. You are delusionally insane. I am trying to leave it alone because it's hard for everyone to endure this, but you're a f***ing loon saying that.
