  1. I kind of miss SSN in a way - but in another - not at all. The main problem with it is that it tries to make the news rather than report it. eurosport 2 news has replaced it over breakfast for me. It's a smaller production - but at least when they say 'coming up' they do mean after the next break. Would welcome a Setanta\Virgin attempt. Lesson 1 - when there is no news don't start giving 'comment' Lesson 2 - don't have paper reviews by a fat souther tory jurno Lesson 3 - although tottie is kinder on the eye - a proper news reporter/ anchor will give a better production/ qualiry of program Lesson 4 - ... I'm sure there is more!
  2. yerp - notice that. could be a problem for some of us

  11. I forgot aboput this durring the season & the 'he can't play for you' episode - but Evertons fee for the granny sh@ger is linked to United sucess on the pitch. They actually agreed a lower fee overall but with more money up front cos they were so skint at the time. (not that they are flush now ofcourse - but not quite as skint & in the brown smelly stuff as they where then) I have a feeling that they 'only' got £20m for him.

  13. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/12072007/1/m...g-spenders.html Everton boss David Moyes has hit out at the "irresponsible" attitude of some Premier League clubs during this summer's transfer window.Moyes sealed a £4million move for Phil Jagielka from Sheffield United last week and is keen to add more players to his squad, but admits he is struggling to compete with some of the top flight's big spenders. The likes of Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Fulham and West Ham have splashed millions of pounds on new players this summer and Moyes fears inflated prices could have negative consequences for the game. He told Everton's official website: "I think there has been some irresponsible buying and spending by some clubs and it makes it a bit more difficult if you've got less money to spend than that." He added: "We'd like to add to the squad and I know the supporters are desperate to see new faces coming in, no more so than me, but things out there in the market are tight. "But we are certainly doing everything we can to strengthen the squad and give ourselves a chance. We've done it that way for the past few years and we'll continue to do so. "I've been a supporter, in fact I still am a supporter, but we're always quite cagey here and we don't give too much away partly because people know that we don't have the funds to compete at the top end."
