  1. 1. Riera 2. Gerrard 3. Hyypiä
  2. Thought that as well. Maybe if it had been Carra instead of Torres Gerrard could have scored just as easily as Torres but it was a nice gesture, I think.
  3. I think he was trying to imply that we think of all Liverpool midfielders as defensive midfielders He's an attacking player, no doubt.
  4. Hadn't heard about his first name until now Probably because we can't pronounce it here in Denmark. He's an attacking midfielder, has a very strong physique and is technically good. According to AGF's website he was training with the players not in the CL squad when we beat PSV 3-1 (at home). He managed to knock down Hyypiä with his physique in a one-on-one. I was really looking forward to seeing him in the AGF first team but who can blame him for wanting to join Liverpool. It'll be interesting to see if his physical attributes are good enough to make it in English football. He should be able to do well in the reserves though...
  5. I was looking forward to seeing Palsson in the AGF first team He could have done with another year in Denmark before moving to Liverpool (like Nikola Saric), but you can't blame these young players for joining Liverpool I really hope he turns out to be a good player. An Icelandic Litmanen would be nice
  6. 1. Lucas 2. Yossi 3. Gerrard
  7. Lucas was immense today! It's worth praising Yossi as well. He is finding his form and really playing for the team. Newcastle were quick to put two players on him (and Babel) but still did very well I think. It's gonna be the most exciting second half of the season for God knows how many years! Well in you Reds!!
  8. The player (Michael Jakobsen, who's even a man utd fan :s) said to the Danish media that he wasn't exactly impressed with the way Rooney behaved. I didn't hear him say Rooney apologised though? AaB's manager is a good lad. Liverpool fan all the way, he didn't enjoy shaking Slur's hand and was only focussing on enjoying the result with the travelling fans
  9. I don't know too much about the Capital of the Devil's Island, but the last time I was there while Liverpool were playing I saw the CL game against Leverkusen (the one we lost ) at Globen (Irish pub). I'm pretty sure it shows PL games regularly. Globen links: http://www.aok.dk/restauranter-cafeer/globe (address, opening hours and contact info on the right) http://www.the-globe.dk/ (is in English) According to the programme our games is being televised Next time, make sure you visit Aarhus instead of Copenhagen
  10. Draw's on the 19th, right? I knew there was a reason as to why I took that day off!
  11. The defence is good at defending, which is, of course, the main point. But when Agger isn't playing none of the defenders can carry the ball forward. Our midfield is great but too many times we tend to just pass the ball back to safety zone or ping it from side to side with no penetration. We really should be able to step it up a gear, especially at home. We can play at a much higher tempo than we did tonight. Keane was poor tonight. We miss our hat-trick Torres Top of the league though, so we can allow ourselves to enjoy it, even though we should have beaten West Ham.
  12. 1. Torres 2. Reina 3. Arbeloa s***ty game!
  13. WOAH! My GOD, he is BIG!
  14. But what about Newcastle? You're worried about Kinnear's rant?
  15. Agger had a very good game against a very poor Malta. Daniel was awarded a penalty, which he converted with extreme coolness
  16. Amazing game! Barca should have scored at least three more by now!
  17. As far as I know these reports were made up by a manc. I have only seen the news on bold.dk, and the article claiming Rafa and Agger had a fight was written by a danish king of a manc. The same danish king whose website www.oldtrafford.dk is being co-operated by the ultimate danish king of all time, casper heiselberg (something like that), who screamed out on danish tv that the mancs had won the European Cup again without killing anyone. SCUM OF SCUM THEY ARE!!!
  18. Sporting CP, Basle and AaB would do nicely. It would also mean I would be able to see us playing Aalborg away
  19. It took Gerrard 10 minutes in training to see Salif Diao was s**** - and how right he was!
  20. 1. Carra 2. Torres 3. Gerrard
  21. 1. Xabi 2. Yossi 3. Torres
  22. Only because we missed out on this guy.
  23. It was Lazio's "New Nesta" who played The Vog onside, right? He came on with two minutes to go and was praised until we scored Some of our youngsters look like possible squad players this season. Despite of his lack of height, Spearing looks comfortable on the pitch. Looks like a real fighter! We'll need to step up a gear or two against Standard Liège though, but I'm quite confident the boys will be ready. Bring on the new season!
  24. He was born i Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, but he has a Croatian passport as well as Danish, of course. It seems he's had some trouble with injuries this season but there's no doubt about his abilities, according to people around him. Previously he's had trials at Spurs, Barca and Charlton, and after a bit of googling, I've read that he almost joined HSV. His father seems very ambitious on Nikola's behalf as well, but Nikola himself he won't let his surroundings affect him as he has a strong mentality, according to himself An exciting prospect, no doubt, but it's too difficult and way too early to comment on whether he'll make it or not. He's never played at top level in Denmark. He's previously stated that he would like to be the first immigrant to play for the Danish national team, but he's also stated that he would like to play for his home country :blimey: A couple of links (in Danish, but maybe some of the other Danes would care to translate, as I have a s***ty headache at the moment): http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/dansk_fodbold/article958700.ece http://www.dr.dk/Sporten/Fodbold/2006/01/06/162428.htm http://www.lokalbold.dk/artikler2006/nikola01.htm
