  1. Some parts of what I am about to tell are not exactly proud moments of my life, but we've all made mistakes in the past, so here goes.... My mum knows nothing at all about football and my dad isn't much of a football lover either, so I blame them for my early lack of football upbringing. They got divorced when I was about nine or ten (I think) I and moved with my mum, little sister and step dad. My step dad was/is into football (he supports Brøndby (The Gluesticks) in Denmark though, which is a HORRIBLE thing!) and he of course made sure we had the proper channels to watch English football. At that time I still knew nothing about football, mind. I started at a new school (in the year 1995 I think) and my new mates were all like "So, who do you support?" and my answer would be "I'm more into basket" ... I eventually became more interested in football, especially English, as we played in the school yard every day. My best mate, a Man Utd fan from Sri Lanka, watched football with me and my step dad every Saturday, and I became aware of Man Utd and Peter Schmeichel. I would like to stress that I wasn't a FAN at the time, just a boy watching football. Luckily for me, my mate's big brother was a Liverpool fan and I started to notice them as well. Still, I was not a fan of any team, I just watched football. About seven/eight months later I moved back to my dad and my old school, where all my old mates had started playing football as well. Most of them supported Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan, so English football wasn't the thing at the time. I still continued to watch English football with my Sri Lankan friends whenever I visited my mum though. And now for the most unpleasant flashback... I was a bit weird as a youngster; I refused to wear jeans, only jogging pants :blimey: Therefore, my dad took me to the local sports shop and told me that I could have a Man Utd shirt if I started wearing jeans instead of jogging pants... and I'm afraid I got the shirt (At least I wear jeans and not jogging pants now ). What an embarrassment, I had a Man Utd shirt ... BUT ... not long after, still watching football with my mates, Liverpool got more and more of my attention. I would rather watch Liverpool than Utd, and I started buying Goal and other football magazines just to read about Liverpool. I also saved my pocket money (£5 a week) and bought me a Liverpool shirt! I of course wanted Fowler on the back, as he was my ultimate favourite player Liverpool became my passion and I gave away all my other stuff (a Spurs shirt and a Newcastle scarf among other things), including my horrible Manc shirt to another of my Mancs mates. I also remember one of my dad's girl friends, who had the whole Old Trafford tour (it had something to do with her job, don't remember in details) and brought home loads of Manc junk, which my dad forced me to accept with gratitude.... I threw it out though As time has passed I've become more and more passioned about Liverpool, just like every other fan, I reckon. Once you become addicted to Liverpool Football Club, you will never let go! My girl friend though.... she's a Manc :S (That must be what you'd call an unhappy ending, hehe) f***ed up story, I know. It's true though... I blame my dad for wearing a Manc shirt!
  2. You barely made the top six last season, and it's not like you're improving this season
  3. 1. Gerrard 2. Kuyt 3. Carra
  4. Haha, you won't even make the top six. BUT .... you just might win away against Viborg ... the only team in the league more abysmal than you lot
  5. Brøndby are just schyte, end of. Just like my team, but since we're a promoted team this season there won't be much pressure compared to you lot. Brøndby have also set a record of a cracking 21 matches aways without a win - Danish record. As song has also been made as a result (NO WINS AWAY) you're too good to get relegated but you should be well happy finishing in the top half of the table. We're happy avoiding relegation. At least I am, even if we have played really well (should have beaten FCK, had Graulund been a bit sharper!). Keep enjoying your gluesticks, preferably with a prawn sandwich, right?
  6. Isn't he a Liverpool fan?
  7. You are Big Sam and I claim my £5!
  8. If Lucas gets his work permit he'll feature as well... Would like to see Peltier a bit more.
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alessandro_Fa...mantino_Mancini Bellamy => Roma Mancini => Liverpool => very nice
  10. According to the online shop it's "9, Torres", without "F" then.
  11. I stopped eating my baked beans and pasta - well, almost. Very disturbing picture!!!
  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dani_Pacheco http://www.airfutbol.com/videodanipacheco.htm http://www.airfutbol.com/videodanipacheco2.htm He looks a decent prospect, but then again, (almost) everybody looks good on YouTube
  13. This content is not viewable to guests.
  14. Maybe our old Haukur Ingi Guðnason invades the pitch?! What's he up to nowdays?
  15. He did - and he was abysmal! He's good in general though
  16. That would be 'Flødekage' (or maybe Peter Degn )
  17. Too bad Youtube didn't exist when he was at Inter then
  18. Leon Andreasen and Daniel Agger were MOM. It must have been a very special game for Peter Bonde. Caretaker Manager for one game - and what a game! Does anyone know if there has been any trouble after the game? Very unprofessional to announce that Sweden were handed a 3-0 victory. Had there been more like the idiot 'fan' on the field it would have been fuel to the fire.
  19. Indeed it was. Agger had a word or two with him a couple of times as well
  20. Christian Poulsen is a f***ing c*** !!! He supposed to be our best player ... and then he goes on to punch a swedish player in the stomach, gets sent off and Sweden get a penalty. f***ing hell what an idiot! The second half (at least the first 44 minutes) was great though!
