We only need 11 points (GD is +17 better) and that's based on Chelsea winning all of their last 7 so we can afford to drop points in a couple of games. After this the only game we're not going to be huge favourites in is Chelsea away.

I think we'll sign another wide player and then you have the option of Salah (or even Mane) to play central if Firmino is out. Pulisic maybe. Ideally they'd be able to play central as well but I think it makes more sense than spending big on an out and out striker.

It’s easier to look good though when you’re defending on the edge of your box. Not saying Lovren is good enough btw just that it’s hard to compare based on the different set ups of sides. I just hope we go out and try and buy the best centre back possible this summer like we’ve done with VVD. Move Gomez into the centre to compete and then keep Lovren/Matip for 4th choice.

Yeah I thought we did alright after the first 30 mins. We were pretty unlucky really. 3 potential pens and a red card they got away with. Not saying they were all nailed on but you’d hope to have at least got a couple of them. Another centre back, Keita and another great attacking player and we’re going to have a really great side. I thought we missed Henderson today too. When he’s playing well, which he is, we look a much better side. I can’t understand the logic of using him against Porto rather than today.

What is it that’s shocked you about his 2 seasons in Europe with Celtic? Seems about what you’d expect to me. But then I don’t have an odd dislike for a manager who’s come closer to winning the league for us than anyone else in the last 27 years.
