  1. Saudi's are very naive with their play in final third. Ive not seen much of the Russian team the last few years, but they look very poor at the back
  2. theres not much value to be had in outright winner at all. theres value in top scorer if you go a bit left field and look at a team who could get to quarters or semis at a push. someone like serbia or denmark
  3. anyone having a punt today? Coral have an offer on that if you stick a tenner on Russia to beat Saudi you get a £5 free bet every time Russia score Skybet offering 28s on 2 pens being taken in todays game. I reckon they might fancy testing VAR so could see a pen or 2
  4. i reckon Cobs has his gaff decked out like that. probably has his face painted too
  5. you'd ideally want someone like West Ham or Huddersfield at home. avoid an away game at a promoted team
  6. my predictor had England meeting Colombia in the last 16. England will lose to the first decent team they playin a knockout. they always do. theres no plan B, no alternatives to anyone in the squad. Cant understand why Souuthgate never tyook someone like Crouch or Carroll, orr even young Sessegnon to maybe have a run at a team in the last 15 minutes of a game. just something different to the usual turgid crap England serve up

  10. our lack of depth probably cost as a European Cup. We need to bulk the squad out. we cant be going in to next season with aboiut 18 players again. 3 or 4 injuries or suspensions and all of a sudden our optioons are few and far betrween. Aslo need to factor in we have lost Can, Milner isnt getting any younger and both Henderson, lallana and The Ox have been known tto miss a few through injury> I'd be happier with Shaquiri sat on the bench than some untried kid
  11. £12mil for Shakiri is a no brainer. Aston Villa paid similar for Ross McCormack and Kodija. £12m buys you next to feck all in todays market
  12. im not suggesting drawing a line under head trauma. Thats a different converstaion entirely and one I agree with you on 100%. Im talking about drawing a line under what happened in the final, what happened to Karius. its done. its gone. regardless of the rights and wrongs of what happened last week, we are looking like really bitter and sore losers. Im really not sure how football sorts this though. do we stop play after every head injury to get players assessed for concussion, even though a lot of the ttime symptons arent immediate? what if all the subs are used and someone gets concussion. its massively dangerous and it needs to get looked at properly with robsut and proper procedures in place
  13. indeed, and for the first game of next season carried to Anfield from St Georges Hall in a sedan chair.
  14. im getting a bit lost here on what you think could/should have been done or should be done Is Karius good enough to be our number 1? No Was he concusses in the final ? Yes Did it impact his performance? Possibly Could the club/ref have done something about it at the time? possibly but those sorts of things happen in pretty much every game and nothing comes of it Can we do anything about it now? no Should Karius be our number 1 next season? no Is Ramos still a c***? yes Like I said earlier, we need to draw a line under it and move on. Everything that could have went wrong on the pitch pretty much went wrong. Best player injured, Keeper gets clattered and has a stinker, we only have about 10 fully fit 1st team players before the game started anyway. We learn from it, we go away, we lick our wounds, we get stronger, use what happened as motivation, and we got to Madrid next year and win the f***ing thing
  15. either that or trying to soften everyone up for him starting as number 1 next season
  16. yeah it was, my error, but still, if he wasnt feeling right he either stays down and gets checked or lets teh bench know. the fact he did neither means really theres not a lot the club could have done.
  17. im not blaming him for anything. Hes just not a good enough goalkeeper to be our number one.. What happened in the final doesnt change that. The concussion issue, and how players with head injuries are assessed needs looking at though.
  18. Im not sure what the club could have done in real time. the physio nor the doctor came on. He got up and played on. You would assume if he wasnt feeling right he would have said something at half time. Its very probable that no one at the time, not even Karius, knew he had concussion. So yes, you can draw a line under it. Its s***ty luck for all concerned, but its done and we need to move on from it
  19. just wish we would draw a line under all this. Its done. its over. the games lost. nothing is going to chnage that. bottom line for me is at the start of last season, Karius wasnt good enough to be our number 1. Whether he was concussed, or whether his head is in a sling, it doesnt matter. He isnt good enough to be our number 1, and I doubt he wver will be. theres simply too many flaws to his game, the main one being he isnt all that good at stopping the ball going into the goal

  21. I doubt whether Athleti could pay the wages we do. And we are a far bigger club than Athleti
  22. I call them that purely because it annoys the forest fans, the horrible scabby b*****ds
  23. there would be nothing more Spurs than their manager signing a big new contract then f***ing off to a big club a week later
  24. one which would defo qualify as a weird shout, but every time ive seen him play hes been as awkward as f*** to defend against and thats Glen Murray at Brighton. He was also a pain in the hole at Palace. could park him on the bench and use him as a plan B/Impact sub
