This transition phase can only last so long, i think the biggest concern that alot of people have is the way we are setting up nowadays, sit back, limited pressure on the other team, knock it long and counter. We are basically the away team even when we play at home... Add to that the refusal to make any changes prior to the 75th minute even when a system is clearly not working, it just doesnt inspire confidence.

True, but we are all looking for that positive spark, something to cling onto and take a bit of hope from. We all know the situation off the pitch is a joke, if we were playing well then it would deflect from that (albeit slightly)...however currently we are a shambles on and off the pitch. What a sad state we are in atm

I am with you on this, Pelligrini was the one i wanted - plays good football, did well in the Spanish league with a small budget...its obvious though imo, I expect when asked who would you like to buy or how much do you think you need to spend...he must have actually given a figure...whereas with Hodgson they probably gave some spiel about having a proven track record of getting more of out existing players...read cheap, yes man who wouldnt rock the boat.

If they are running the club then there would be nothing stopping them imo, they own the debt and if they have people on the board could make the decision too.

Agree, he is isolated and having to feed off scraps all the time, and when he did get the ball there was no one to support him

It was a real shame that Arbeloa wanted to go, he was steady in defence while chipping in with the occasional assist, and overlapping pretty well. He wasnt a world beater forward but at least he was reliable and always put in a shift. I would much rather he had stayed. As for Konchesky, too early to judge imo but i thought he was ok at best. There were times during the game when i was screaming out for him to close down the attacker but he deserves a few more games at least i guess...

Roys comments after the game summed him up for me, we are f***ing Liverpool not Fulham I wouldnt care if they hadnt lost at home for 20 years we shouldnt go into a match expecting not to win. It defies belief that he thought it was the right thing to say, we were ordinary and so is he. The game was crying out for some pace and inventiveness, I know Babbel has some haters on here but at least give him a chance - surely he may have done more than Maxi or Jovanovic??? Dont get me started on slow and slower in central midfield, ffs, i still cant believe we loaned out Aquilani...its clear to me that Gerrard should be in CM, our best moments (if you could even call them that) came when Gerrard sat deeper and started running the midfield, before then he wasnt in the game because he was starved of any possesion. I think Carra is definitely not at his best atm, but Skittles is having a nightmare, Agger should be playing alongside Carra at least he can bring the ball out of defence and can pass the ball better than Lucas and Poulsen

What was that Andy Gray...no difference in tactics from our time under Rafa....thats right, one bad season...I am not sure who the bigger chump is atm Andy Gray or Hodgson...

Yes, what a pair, really cant wait to see more of them this season. I am sure left backs are meant to at least try and close down the attacker
