  1. I come from Chile My name is Gonzalez When I do my thing The crowd goes Bananez (or Benitez)
  2. When you click on the link, the "Liverpool Breaking News" at the bottom says "1st £100 million player signs 4 LFC?! Liverpool land best in the world?!" Oh yeah - calls cost £1/min - could have something to do with it.

    Aye...and moustaches.
  4. Simao didn't get on the same plane as his team when they left Germany. He got on a private jet whose destination was John Lennon airport....watch this space.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «I'm bored - nobody has signed today. Time for a new rumour, see how long it takes for Kr****lk to pick it up.
  5. Teams always used to attack us down our left side as they didn't want to take on the two Stevie's on the right. With the signings of Aurelio and Gonzalez, they'll all need to re-think how they are going to play us in future. Now to put the finishing touches to the right wing and the attack - I can't wait for the season to start.

    Aurelio

Check the other thread done deal.
  7. They say YES!!!!!!! Offal Rafael Benitez was celebrating today after Chiliean international Mark Gonzalez was given the green light to begin his Liverpool career. The left winger was granted a work permit after a successful hearing on Wednesday morning, and Benitez believes 23-year-old Gonzalez is a player who will not only enhance his team but also excite the supporters. "This is very good news for us and I am absolutely delighted to welcome Mark Gonzalez to Liverpool as he is a player the supporters will like to see," Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv. "Mark is an exciting left winger who can cross good balls and beat defenders and he is a very good signing for us. He has a very good mentality as when I was talking with him he told me, 'I want to play for Liverpool'." Gonzalez spent last season on loan in La Liga with Real Sociedad after he was initially refused a work permit to join Liverpool from Spanish side Albacete.

    Aurelio

100% official now Offal Liverpool have secured the capture of Fabio Aurelio, with the Brazilian left back putting pen to paper on a four-year deal at Anfield this afternoon. Aurelio won a Spanish La Liga title under Benitez at Valencia and becomes the first Brazilian to play for Liverpool. "Fabio is a player with a lot of quality and he is a really good signing for us," Benitez told Liverpoolfc.tv. "His technical ability is fantastic and he has a great left foot and provides the team with a lot of options. He has a really good mentality and he is a winner."
  9. Today is d-day.

    Kewell

I thought he had Gout? Must have been some bender to put him out for 6 weeks (not prison slang).
  11. There's no way we are after Viduka - everyone Rafa is signing is a high energy, versatile player. It may not be Kuyt, but he covered every blade of grass the other night and suits Rafa's plan. Next season, I see a lot of goals coming late on as the opposition just gets too knackered.
  12. I think the club should set up an anonymous release clause Hot Line - could be well worth it.
  13. We have had a 6 million bid for Del Piero accepted according to a couple of posters here! http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liv...c/messageboard/ Can't find anything else on it - probably rubbish.

Rafa and all of us expect him to play mainly as a winger but Cally thinks we have bought an extra right back for 10 million when we already have the best right back in the league and have been looking for a winger for the past year. Let's face it, we are all wrong and Cally is right - of course he already knows that!

I don't know how reliable this source is but diariohoy.net " International the Brazilian of Seville, is near filing by the Liverpool de Rafa Benítez, according to trascendióhoy in sources near the operation Seville requests 14 million euros, the Liverpool offers 13 and in the English club they hope that soon the agreement takes place to reinforce a band that in the last years does not finish having owner. " Seems we have offered 9 million pounds and are very close.
  16. 2004/05 Feyenoord 34 29 Eredivisie - 13 assists !! 2005/06 Feyenoord 33 22 Eredivisie - 18 assists !! If we can get a man who never gets injured with 22 goals and 18 assists in 33 matches and use Josemi Kromkamp as a makeweight, then that truly will be a stunning piece of business - I bow to Rafa (again) and trust him explicitly.
  17. Kuyt and Bellamy for 16 million, the same price as Owen - I know which I prefer.
  18. Aren't you on holiday?

Talking about the big picture, we only seem to talk about the transfer fee. If you buy a player for 10 million and then pay him 50K a week for 4 years, then that costs you another 10 million in wages. Hopefully you'll recoup the transfer fee when you sell him anyway. The transfer fee is therefore less than 50% of the big picture.
  20. I asked this yesterday and I think that we won't get anything from France, FIFA or the FA, but we will get something from our own insurance. Can someone confirm?
  21. Impressive cod pieces.....only in Germany
  22. Thierry Henry has been playing out of position quite well.
  23. Do we take out any sort of insurance against these things? Do other clubs?
  24. 85 pages of speculation - what will happen when we actually sign someone? Come on Rafa...give us a sign...a watch...a table leg...a new front bumper...something..
  25. No doubt a health and safety issue.
