A few rambling thoughts.... 1) To speak to the press in this way is unforgivable, whatever your motives. 2) Even if you do disagree with some of Rafa's tactics, you cannot ever say that he has overspent on the recent signings - it is just stirring. I can only conclude that either: 1) There is no substance in this whatsoever (unlikely) 2) The person is a total prat (unlikely but not impossible) 3) This is an attempt to cause us problems at a time when we are seeking investors (the only other reason which I can think of) I have not got a clue, but what if a deal was close and some other bidder (possibly a local builder) wanted to scupper it? They might throw the odd promise to a board member, in return for some negative press which would scare off other potential investors? This is total guesswork on my part but if it is the case, I hope that the instigator and the board member are both well and truly ********** - they clearly have no interest in what is good for Liverpool Football Club.
