  5. I couldn't see this anywhere else, but I'm sure that I'll be wrong and told off...... SS After scoring in the FA Cup final victory over West Ham, Djibril Cisse has pleaded with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez to keep him at Anfield. Since his multi-million pound move from Auxerre in 2004 the French striker has failed to fully convince on Merseyside, and has been continually linked with a return to his home country. Marseille were circling in January, and Ligue 1 champions Lyon were recently reported to hold an interest in the flamboyant front man. Benitez could be ready to dispose of the French international as he has preferred Peter Crouch and Robbie Fowler in recent weeks, although Cisse has also performed on the right wing for The Reds this season. Following on from his Millennium Stadium heroics, Cisse has now declared he is desperate to stay at Anfield after the World Cup finals. "I have done my best in the little bit of time I have had to play, but he is the boss and he will decide no matter what I say," said Cisse. "I can't do any more. I want to stay at Liverpool and it won't be my decision to leave the club. "If I go then it will not come from my side. "There will not be time to speak to the manager before I leave for Germany. "I am hoping that when I come back we will have time to talk, and I will tell him that I do not want to leave. "I want to stay in England, and I want to stay in Liverpool." Meanwhile Liverpool's preparations for next season continue as chief executive Rick Parry will reportedly meet with former Oxford United chairman Robin Herd on Monday to discuss potential investment in the club. Herd is acting on behalf of European investors and his proposal could result in funds being provided for new players as well as helping to finance the move to a new stadium, with the current power structure at Anfield remaining unchanged.
  6. Erect some windmills quickly - that'll stop those pesky clouds from spoiling our day.
  7. Lexie The defender, or helper of mankind. Feminine form of Alexander http://www.babynamenetwork.com/detail.cfm?...e&gender=Female Not another young defender!
  8. I don't think it's on anywhere.
  9. Souness went and sold many of our best players because he thought they were too old - they weren't. They they proceeded to batter us whenever we met them. He decided on a revolution when it wasn't needed. I think Steve Nicol was a prime example of this, he played at the top level for ages after getting pushed out. I think that this was the main reason we dipped out of the top two, something which we are only now recovering from.
  10. The lamposts are coming to get me.
  11. Correction - you are insane.
  12. Would it be worth getting rid of the lot of them for nothing, just to get them off our wage bill? Carson should stay and possibly we will get something for Cheyrou and Cinema Popcorn, but the rest must be worth getting rid, just to get them off our payroll permanently. Hopefully we aren't paying much of their salaries while they are out on loan, but you never know.
  13. pssst - it's the carburettor
  14. I wish he'd make up his mind - the sales are less than 1 month away.
  15. "it will be another 90 minutes for Crouch and Fowler before Chelsea." I can guarantee that neither Crouch nor Robbie will play 90 minutes - twunt.
  16. If we got them, I would be over the moon - not that I've ever seen any of them play mind.
  17. What sort of formation/defending style - similar to the first team?
  18. Anything??
  19. stream?
  20. Fat head now considering buying Robbie? http://msnsport.skysports.com/list.asp?hli...onsiders+Fowler Hahahahahahaha does he think that this will unsettle us? Anyway, Robbie can't kick a ball apparently.
  21. I thought we all agreed - get Xabi to take the corners.
  22. 20 goals in 5 games has been hard to watch - Charlie the chump
  23. There are 3 issues, just as there always have been: 1) Will he stay injury free for long enough 2) Can he play a "Rafa" type roll and get involved in all the play, not just as a goal scorer 3) Can we get him for the correct price/salary (roughly what he left for and no way the 100+K per week which was on the table at that time). I suppose the other issue is does Rafa trust him, or does he think that he stuffed the club? He knows the inside story as to whether he strung us along and touted himself to Real Madrid. What do you think Owen's priorities are? Possibly:- 1) England 2) Money 3) Liverpool
  24. I should say that he scores the same when fit. This season it's 18 to 7 in favor of Fatty. I'd imagine Fatty outscores him in the previous 2 seasons, as well as having more assists. If you want me to go back to 2002 - that's pushing things a bit. (ducks and let's loose the dogs of war).
