Keko was immense tonight. Pity that Gerardo was on the bench the whole time but the spanish team has a lot of very good strikers. What about Daniel Pacheco?? Does anyone know if he has been involved with the younger set ups for Spain? I think i read somewhere that Francisco Duran was playing for the U21 and that Miki Roque was not far away from being an international. Then we have San Jose and Antwi so we do have a lot of spanish players.

At the start of the season everyone thought we had too many strikers and that would be a problem. Since then we have one genuine striker in Torres, one that scores a few but can´t get a game in Crouch, one that always gets a game but more often plays at left back rather than attack in Kuyt and then we have Voronin that never seems to be more than mediocre. Torres aside we have one decent striker in Crouch but he is soon on his way. Kuyt will stay and play in his midfield role and Voronin surely has a 2-3 year long lucrative deal which he got when he signed on a free so he is not going anywhere else unless another club can match his wages. So now, if we let Crouchie go, we will need another striker. It is a terrible thought having Voronin up front if Torres get´s injured next season. No?

Aren't we stuck with Voronin?? He got a lucrative three year deal last summer didn´t he?? Another Diao on our hands....
