  1. He has pedigree. But his results this season have been poor. So yes it's a discussion. No one is calling for him to be sacked. But it seems like people can't have a debate here.
  2. Today, not in this season.
  3. 7 points off if City win 9. This result is ok but we've drawn against Burnley, Watford and Newcastle.
  4. What does that mean?
  5. You are being delusional here. Defence is better. It's been 7 league games and we have conceded loads. The goal against Newcastle split our defenders. The 'give him time' excuse is wearing out. Not time for him. In summary he's had enough time to sort out the defence.
  6. I meant make or break for determining his success in the league this season. Plus this is a results game. The results haven't come. And the give him time is wearing out as he's had two years and not sorted out the defence. Of course if he turns it around he will deserve all the praise he gets. Just that right now he is not managing a successful team.
  7. Make or break for him tomorrow. Season defining.
  8. Not bad for a poor finisher . In all seriousness though, he always gets into positions to score.
  9. Whether Mane is not such a key loss will be proven in the next 3 games. Defence is the same as last year with the exception of Gomez and TAA coming through. Central defence I agree has not improved. Klopp only wanting VVD is a bit strange. Howedes for example would have been a massive upgrade on Klavan at least.
  10. I mean you can, but is it worth it? Only a good sample set of results would point to whether this is a endemic problem or an outlier of a result. Don't think that the last 10 of last season and first 4 can meaningfully warrant a pessimistic outlook. Yet is the key word though.
  11. Some massive knee jerk reactions here. They're a good side. We got thrashed. It would have been different if it weren't 10 against 11. Don't see the need to delve any deeper. If there's a trend over the next 5 I will get worried.
  12. In this day of social media it's a temptation. Can't compare this to the 90s or earlier. Surely people spoke to people then but information couldn't be broadcast in such a manner.
  13. Lfc is valued close to a billion pounds. It's pretty typical of companies of such a size to have a distribution of duties. Please look at Arsenal and Wenger's control to see the negatives in the consolidation of responsibilities. I think you're nitpicking. This isn't something that warrants criticism in my opinion.
  14. Haha. Thomas Lemar, VvD all want to play with Keita.
  15. Ah. If I were Ben I'd put that up on my fridge. That kind of cool doesn't happen often.
  16. That's amazing. Don't hassle the hoff!!!
  17. Agree they saw a good deal. No need to thank but no need to go completely the other way either.
  18. I think based on an inherent bias when Liverpool does well it's all down to the manager and when they do badly it's due to the owners. I am not saying FSG haven't made mistakes but to lambast FSG, who literally dug us out of the depths of administration and within 5 years put us in the hands of one of the best managers in the world, is not good. Yes, they didn't build a new stadium but we have increased capacity and may do again in the future. I mean they aren't free spenders, and they definitely have made errors in judgement and approach, but we are a sustainable club now, and we spend within our means. Yes, our net spend is not what some others have, but I am generally happy. They are incredibly frustrating sometimes, but as far as owners go, they're alright.
  19. I am buzzing about Ox, imagine him and Wijnaldum on both sides of Henderson, that's an unrelenting midfield 3 if I have ever seen one. Put in Can and bring in Keita next season you have options. Plus we haven't even thought about where Coutinho will play. In summary, we are stacked. Of course, the defence remains a concern.
  20. Who, Woodburn?
  21. Just baffled by the Matic overrating. He's good but he's lauded as the best defensive midfielder in the league. Is he?
  22. He's the type of player you miss when he's not available to play.
  23. He's not going to add a right foot to his game at 25. He was great. Will score more when he gets settled.
