  1. Lol!
  2. Fabinho's had a couple of good games. He really struggled against Arsenal for the pace of the game. Henderson still remains our default 6 until a run of games proves otherwise. To an earlier point, Henderson's role is to set tempo not to always make forward passes. Sometimes he errs on the side of caution, and I do find that a little frustrating, but he keeps possession well and keeps things ticking over. Fabinho is another option for the 6 and will be rotated to keep everyone fresh over the course of the season. This is good...with Can Klopp couldn't do that consistently.
  3. This is correct. Law of averages.
  4. Can we please put a cap on this?
  5. Now we have to hold serve against Arsenal. That miss though. He's scoring that against us every time.
  6. Frustrating. But Spurs were never going to win this.
  7. Was sensational today. In many ways the difference between the teams.
  8. What about against spurs?
  9. Fekir interest was highest before pre season and has cooled since. Is there a chance that Klopp is more invested in some youth like Curtis Jones and after looking at Lallana and Keita come up with an alternative way of playing that may not need a Fekir? 2 considerations: One is absolutely the cost, as at £15-20 million he is a great option and an absolutely worth it. But the price tag at £55 million or so is prohibitive and no matter what people say, we are a net spend driven club. So far we have spent £66m + £13m + £43m + £60m , which is £180m. Given we have the Coutinho money (£145m) and CL and PL money (50m) we are net profit, assuming the VVD money was earmarked from last year, which I believe it is. Even with this I think that club is looking for a £30 - £40m recoup before putting the £55m for Fekir, which would bring us to around flat. Second is sellability. Fekir's knee does not fill Edwards with the confidence that he can sell a 29 year old Fekir for good money to enable the net spend game to continue. All the players we have including the 3 forwards we have locked into contracts will be sold in the future at the right place. I firmly believe this is FSGs model and I hope that this comes after we win something big (like the league). Anyway that's my long-winded reply done.
  10. In my humble opinion. It's a statement of future skill so cannot be quantified.
  11. Pulisic is far younger and has a higher ceiling.
  12. Just think this is an elaborate set of opposing leaks by Aulas and Klopp / Edwards. Like with Lacazette, Aulas would like this to go to the deadline with an auction but it seems this is not possible as I think the player has made his mind up. It's a matter of if not when. And the when could be the next window.
  13. Is that another way of saying you don't comprehend how these could be true or is it the way I have phrased it?
  14. Yeah. Think people are underplaying how great a window this will be if Fekir joins. Ward should be given a go. We consistently undervalue players in our reserves vs other team's reserves. He looked good at Aberdeen. It's a legitimate possibility. I think there are limited funds and Klopp would rather spend the money elsewhere.
  15. Back to transfers, I think that Danny Ward will be #1 and we will complete the Nabil Fekir transfer. I think the strategy is that goals win you games and mistakes from goalkeepers are relatively rare occurrences. The debate as to the relative importance of having a great goalie vs having a great midfield and attack is an intriguing one.
  16. Interested to see whether Ben Woodburn will have opportunities next season. Gotze etc did at Dortmund. Don't see why this won't start to really gain legs during year 3 of Klopps tenure.
  17. IMHO I think we keep Solanke, Brewster and Woodburn on the bench and sell Ings, Sturridge and Origi.
  18. Good, I hope he and Woodburn come through like TAA did this season.
  19. Don't see how, if accurate, the club pulled out of a deal due to concerns over the medical. Appropriate due diligence in my opinion. Hopefully opens the door for Dembele or someone else.
  20. Wow, the plot thickens
  21. Is it possible the 'unsubstantiated reports' is the Graeme Kelly tweet on twitter? If it is, it's interesting how cyclical all this is...
  22. Something's changed for me. FSG are just so intent on turning a profit that the squad will never be there. It's always sell and replace and hope. This is just not good enough for challenging for silverware. I fully expect a 'sell to buy' message for the summer as well. The profits of this window are realised.
  23. This is really disheartening. One step forward two steps back. We went from having options and depth to having none.
