  1. Glad to see hardly any of our home games have been messed with. 3 pm Saturday for most of them.
  2. Anny Road - sorry Dave. "take last night i wasnt heart broke that Spain went out, but I was activley cheering and groaning etc during the game......that came from within...i felt far ore than I will when England go out not making a statement just the way it is"
  3. BBC have been far better than ITV - their panel with Desailly and Leonardo is a masterstroke. World Cup winners for the World Cup - what do ITV have? Fat Sam. Lineker saying to Hansen when Desailly was there - "You know that thing you always say when we are in the bar - put your medals on the table. Say it to him (pointing at Desailly)". Hansen declined.
  4. Considering our history, these isolated incidents shows a marked impriovement IMO.
  5. Haven't seen/heard that. The only main problem I know of is the one at Stuttgart, and that was started by a load of Germans throwing chairs at the English fans, and then the English fans doing the same to the Germans. The riot police then stepped in. I've heard that version both reported on the TV and first hand.
  6. After hearing first hand reports from people coming back from Germany, it would seem the the England fans have been impeccably behaved, apart from a few hundred d1ck heads, but like you say, out of 100,000 that's not bad is it. No reports of racist behaviour that I have seen/heard. It won't happen when we're knocked out Cobs, coz we're not going to get knocked out.
  7. What I am saying, is that IMO, the Spanish (national team and club) seem to have a far worse racism problem now than we do. You do not get monkey chants in English grounds anymore like you do in Spain and also in Italy for that matter. What I am also saying is, that the level of monkey chants in Spain seems to be at the level we had in our grounds (including Anfield) in the 80's. To me that's progress on our part and a backward step fopr Spanish football.
  8. Really? I haven't noticed that at all? That's not good to hear.
  9. I don't deny there is still a racist element with English fans, but it's noweher near what it used to be (match going fans that is). By the same token with what you are saying, you could say there is still an element of racist fans at LFC, they just don't show it anymore. Spanish grounds (league and International) have shown very recenly that racism is very visible at agmes in Spain. That is not the case in England anymore.
  10. Well, the only way you can make an informed opinion on this is but what is shown publicly, and the Spanish fans are shocking. Monkey chants at the French bus before the game the other day as well. I'm not saying this doesn't exist in England as it does, but nowhere enar like it used to, and if if happening in the past is still a yard stick to use for now, you could easily say that LFC still has a lot of racist fans, as the Kop in the 80's was as bad as anywhere I have ever heard. It's not a choice for me either, but neither is supporting England.
  11. Do you hear the vast majority of fans booing away players because they are black at an England game anymore? No you don't. Not the same with Spain though as we know from last eyar and it seems that were at it again before the France game. I'd say they are far worse than the England fans are now, wouldn't you?
  12. But but but they are a team with an openly racist manager and far more racist fans than England. Where does that stand then???? Oh, and you won't get the chance to feel like that with England coz we're gonna win it.
  13. I bet you didn't support Ireland then when Kevin Moran was in the team.
  14. Well our Barcelona office is today a very depressed place.
  15. Pedant! I will make myself clearer. Football fans (apart from Reds) in the UK.
  16. I've just had a squiz on RedCafe (Go strike me down) and I saw no anti-England feeling on it at all - quite the opposite in fact. I personally do not know one person who doesn't want England to win the World Cup, and although I don't live in Liverpool, I know fans from different clubs across the board. The onlty antiEngland feeling I have come across is anti-Sven coz he's a useless t***.
  17. Has anyone been on Redcafe or other sites to see if thyey have the same level of anti-England feeling as we do on here or is it just Liverpool fans?
  18. Gravy

    Aurelio

I believe the Stevie Gerrard connection said this months ago did he not?
  19. No he wouldn't. He'd whinge like feck.
  20. No problem with him not supporting England as he is Scottish. However, want do you think his reaction would be if the whole of the Wimbledon crowd supported his oppenent because he is Scottish? He would throw his toys out for sure.
  21. Good, they're out. Feck 'um. Racist manager and fans that are the racist equivelent of Millwall.
  22. S hit, the guy who wrote that must be bugging my telephone.
  23. Well, I've just spoken to our office in Barcelona, and all of them without exception want Spain to win the World Cup. We don't have an office in Bilbao I'm afraid so I can't answer that one.
  24. I can't answer that. That's a political question, nothing to do with football - especially Bilbao. Do you know the answer? I have associates in Barclona. I will call them specifically to ask the question.
