It's not a case of "without hiom" but without a striker leading the line. Nope, I think we do need a top striker, but at the very least a n other striker that is good enough to fill Crouch's boots when he is not available.

We need a n other instead of Crouchm, either as first choice or back-up to him. Gerrard, Fowler, Kewell or Garcia can not take the place of Peter Crouch ffs.

So who plays in the games Crouch doesn't? Who plays if Crouch is injured. You need someone up front to hold the ball up and with only Fowler and Bellamy you'll end up in the same predicament England were. How many fecking years were we all saying about Fowler and Owen not being able to play together. Why do you think that Fowler and Bellamy will be okay? It'sd not a partnership we should be looking at as a mainstay. We need someone to put the ball away regularly and also to be able to play as a team member. If we go into the new season without another striker it will be folly. Our problem last season was scoring goals. As things stand, we have one less striker now than we did last season. How is that progress? Got rid of Cisse and Morientes and got Bellamy. If someone had given you that option in January you would have laughed at them. And don't say we have a number of other players who can play centre forward. Only centre forwards can play centre forward. Rafa shouldn't have to try and fit players in. He should be able to get proper strikers in if that's what he wants, and I for one think that is exactly what he wants.

We want the title don't we, and we want to be able to give Rafa the tools to do the job. He's not a fecking magician. Give him a top class striker and we may just get there. Without one, we won't. IF Kuyt goes to Man U, it will be because we dicked around with the price waiting for a club with more money to come in and get a player that is obviously highly rated by many clubs and managers.

Yes, but we need another stirker, that much is obvious. One that would play instead of Crouch, as he can't play all the games. Morientes has gone, Cisse has gone, so we have one less striker than last year. If we want to challenge for the title we need another option up front. Surely you can see that?

I would agree with that, BUT we badly need one other forward bigger than 5 foot 9 who has a bit of pace. We surely can't go into the season with just 3 first choice strikers can we? WQe are one strtiker shoprt on last season now and look at how we struggled getting goals from our strikers then. One striker - whether it be Kuyt or somoene else dcent and we'll challenge. Without one more top striker we won't IMO. JUST GIVE RAFA THE MONEY FFS!!!!!
