  1. PLTBT!
  2. Firing him out of a cannon would be utopia
  3. You are still improving the squad if you can't recall them! Major change there is the manager
  4. In the same way we knew Hodgson wasn't good enough after taking a look at his 35 yr long CV!
  5. Tired after less than a third of the season gone? Perhaps we could rotate our tiny little squad a little since we are also massively overstaffed.
  6. He is the epitome of the manager on the pitch. Out of his depth, not good enough quality, but is trying his best. Not his fault he is at the club.
  7. The result isn't terrible. The fact we go 1 up then sit back hoping to see the game out is the problem. If we'd carried on like we started we'd have battered them. Wigan were unlucky not to have 3 points tonight.
  8. You see this is where I disagree. For me the takeover changes nothing for me on the managerial front. The only time to change a manager for me is to upgrade. This is exactly why some of us have been arguing that getting rid of rafa was the wrong decision. It was plain to see that we were only going to downgrade under the previous owners. If we can upgrade on rafa by getting shot of Hodgson then we are back to where we should have been minus the 8-10 million or so we paid to get Hodgson. For me the next manager needs to be far better tha the current spoofer, and at least on a par with the previous manager. Never before in our history have we chosen to downgrade managers like this summer.
  9. I don't like him, don't want him but how can he not get any credit for a 2-0 win against Chelsea? Fair play I didn't expect anything out of that game and we played fantastic in the first half, but dropped too deep in the second half. That being said you are never going to dominate a Chelsea side for 90 minutes regardless who is the manager. Good win for Liverpool and Roy today. Torres will grab the headlines, but Lucas was in all the right places at the right times today.
  10. How about we just enjoy the win today? I'm not a fan of Hodgson, but that was the first game this season I've actually enjoyed watching. Credit where credit is due. Superb first half performance and a solid if unspectacular second half where we sat too deep again.
  11. Good to see him getting credit for an outstanding performance today. There were lots of them all over the park today, but Lucas stood out for me if I am being honest.
  12. Happy with that. First half was superb, second half we sat way too deep, but did restrict Chelsea. We didn't press as much in the second half and there was a period of play that nobody was near the halfway line, let alone in the Chelsea half. 2-0 against Chelsea is a good result whichever way you look at it. Oh and Lucas was brilliant today.
  13. I'm of the opinion rafa was and still is the best man for the job. We now know broughton was in control of the club, we now know nesv have purchased us. It's also pretty standard that with new kings, comes their men. Is it inconceivable that rafa was released and Hodgson was appointed as a pawn of this whole take over. Who in their right mind would want to come in, oust a popular manager and instil your own man. If I was John Henry I'd much prefer to be bringing in the replacement for Hodgson than the replacement for Rafa. Just a thought.
  14. Rh won't be At the helm in Feb
  15. Hes only saying what we've all been saying. He's red till he dies!
  16. Perhaps because it was plainly obvious we were only ever going to downgrade our manager under the previous regime.
  17. Great post, but for me hodge is the last link of their regime and he needs to go before I can start to trust again. I've never in my 30 plus yearsof being a Liverpool supporter wanted a manager gone. I do now and I can't see that changing even if we were sat top of the league. He's unfortunate in the sense that he was appointed by them, but he's done nothing since arriving to give me nay belief I can trust him. From his ideals, his signings, his press conferences to his tactics. We need a clean start, and I can't move on from that era until the last appointment of the era is gone. It doesn't stop me celebrating a win or a late goal. It just doesn't feel right at the moment though.
  18. Great article, sums up everything I feel, but far far more eloquently than I could. Bravo!
  19. He hasn't moved that much all season
  20. Perfect response would have been - with their debts, they couldn't afford him! Regardless he is not for sale.
  21. Harsh , that's his normal state! Rafa hasn't moved on, he's just having an extended Italian holiday!
  22. In 2004-05, we lost 3 games: to Birmingham, Chelsea and Man United In 2005-06, we lost 1 game: to Chelsea In 2006-07, we lost 1 game: to Man United In 2007-08, we lost 1 game: to Man United In 2008-09, we didn't lose a league game at Anfield. In 2009-10 we lost 3 games: against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Chelsea. In 6 years, we lost 9 home games in the league. We lost just one game to a team that finished below us in the same season. It was wrong to get rid of Rafa, it's still the wrong decision and it was an even worse decision to replace him with Hodgson. You know we have history of what things were like under rafa, now we are sitting joint bottom of the f***ing league after 8 games.
  23. That's 35 years of management for you there! Show it some respect
  24. I voted assuming Roy stays in charge.
  25. We can start a Roy not welcome anywhere campaign? Should never have been appointed and has already had 8 league games too many. Got to go now!
