My suspicion has been that that language is a factor in his collapse since joining us. Many players don’t learn English and muddle through, or even excel regardless, others have their confidence shredded. He would’ve got by fine in Portugal. There’s a case to play him on the left occasionally when Diaz isn’t in form. Unless he’s now just frozen in carbonite in case Salah gets injured.
