No vehicles besides police and ambulances should’ve been on Chapel, Water, Brunswick or James -at least. We don’t know how or why it was. One witness describes the guy beeping when coming onto Water St, assuming from Dale St as not sure how else he would’ve got there.

My friend and his lad had seats on 7:30 to London, queued at lime street for 3 hours, missing all trains, and had to stay another night. They’re lucky they were able to crash at mine and weren’t relying on a hotel. God knows how many were left wandering town without accommodation in the pouring rain.

I think there’s an unnecessary binary here. Nobody is claiming we won the league because Slot didn’t rotate *as much as some think he should’ve*, as it isn’t like he didn’t rotate at all. We won the league and that might be in part because he used a near settled team for much of the season. We also looked shagged by March, certain key players especially, and had nothing in the tank for the European Cup. All of these things can be true. Rotation of starting eleven is only one element of squad management anyway. I don’t see anyone suggesting that giving so and so starts would’ve improved our longevity without impact on results.
