Everton did play like the smaller (bottom half) teams tend to play at Anfield, you know, in the shut-up-shop, park-the-bus-at-the-goalmouth kind of way with a quick little beggar up front. Totally justified comment that.

We defend as a team. Our improved defensive record is not down to one man. Carra was not at his best early in the season. Neither was Pepe. In fact they both were shocking at times. Worse than Sami as many would testify.

He's got longer legs than most forwards. I suspect you didn't see him against Bolton just recently. The only thing going against him more than previously is the speed of his recovery. He can't play two games a week anymore.

Collided with Kirkland and so we're to blame... -
And bare in my that the goals came very early in the game. There was still well 70+ mins to play after Pennant's goal. No point in going overboard with the celebrations, after all, we were playing against the reigning champions (spit...).
