B'ollocks yourself Mr Red if you honestly believe that. When Charlton nearly scored on Saturday, who's mistake was it ? He does it every f***ing match, gets caught out of position, comes charging back, 1/2 the time getting his man the other 1/2 ending up flat on his a*** as the attacker cuts inside and tries to pick out a man. The number of absolute sitters missed against us this season that have resulted from a Riise defensive lapse is in double figures. Finnan by contrast I only recall getting completely skinned a couple of times. when fit I'd say it's a close call. When was he last fit ?
Nah, play Arsenal in the QF on Tuesday and put the kids out in the first leg on the semi on Wednesday. I just hope we don't draw the FA Cup game , where the hell would a replay go ?
You've seen Momo play now for, oooh, 1 full season barring injuries, how do you know what he can and can't do long term. He isn't and wont be Vieira but he is the destructive midfielder we've needed for a long long time and when he is surrounded by quality passers of the ball he doesn't need to have the ability to play a killer pass. He will get forward more as he develops and become a true box to box central midfielder. He will probably score the odd goal but then again if he's doing his job and Alonso and Gerrard do theirs then he shouldn't need to score many.
You see, I don't think Luis and Gerrard works at as the wide players. I like Luis and am happy seeing him wide left, right or up top but I think you need Garcia Gerrard Alonso Gonzalez or Pennant Gerrard Alonso Garcia to play him wide, there has to be a winger on the pitch to enable him to cut inside and do his thing. I noticed at Anfield he popped up on the right to set up Crouch when he was playing LM. If you've got him and Gerrard roving from wide positions you don't have any width. I don't think it's a coincidence that our run of good form has coincided with our wingers getting a bit of confidence. Yes Gerrard has moved centrally but I really dont thing that a Gerrard Alonso Sissoko Gonzalez midfield would be any less potent with the movement of Bellamy and Kuyt up front, if anything that midfield looks more creative because Gerrard has the freedom to roam.
1998-1999 Arsenal 31 2 1997-1998 Arsenal 33 2 1996-1997 Arsenal 31 2 Not that much of a goal threat back in the day. Vieira was 22 in June 98, Momo is 22 next month. Momo was already showing more atacking instinct before his injury. I reckon he's got plenty of time to develop into the player Vieira was age 26/27.
This is really starting to f*** me off now. I can't believe this 'la la la can't hear you' attitude from the BBC. It's our f***ing money you are giving this t*** surely if 50,000 of us object they have to listen. We need to get every angle covered on this and get this f***** kicked off. Christmas Day FFS
If the debt is just £17m as you say then that means that DIC are paying £233m for the club and Moores is pocketing £117m. OR nobody knows the actual figures and its ALL speculation !!
Re debt we have already heard how the value changes like the wind, you don't know the exact figure as much as David Conn doesn't. I meant the article as a whole was spot on. Re the groundshare - that was the Mail (see my e-mail above ) Unfortunately we can't all finance the new stadium by selling off the old one as prime London real estate. The only reason Arsenal have been able to pull this off is location, without it (i.e where we are) building a new stadium requires SOMEONE to stump up the cash. He's running really scared in that article.
He didn't, it was the Mail, again We have a problem here, two articles, one mostly fact, one mostly fiction, people read both and get confused. I thought David Conn was spot on personally.
I know, absolute b******s to suggest otherwise. Most pro 'diaries' I've read they eat about 3hrs before the game and try and get some carbohydrate within an hour of the game finishing. For a 3pm kickoff Momo wont have eaten or drunk anything for 6-7hrs !!! I'd like to see anyone here try that and compete in a sport. No coincidence that his level of performance dropped off during this period.
Singned with the comment The man has no ethics and no soul. 'I didn't lie I printed a great story that turned out not to be true' His own words on the Sun's front page THE TRUTH after Hillsborough. How can the BBC associate with him ?
YES, it is an unsustainable long term option. for the benefit of the club long term we must get more bums on seats otherwise the only way we will compete at the top table is by handouts.
