  1. If you saw Milner's post match interview he basically put the goal down to them having to stand in positions they're not used because of the changes made to the squad.
  2. Das Boot room.
  3. There's a competition on the go for countries in Africa whose teams comprise only players from their own local leagues. So Senegal playing later this week with a team from their league only.
  4. Absolutely massive fixture after 2 weeks off for the international break. It appears on the face of it that we'll have almost everyone back for this fixture. Mo has had the full 2 weeks to recover from the Leicester knock and should be available. Alisson also expected to return, Trent hasn't payed since Leicester despite being on International duty. Naby has also had extra time off. They're expecting a whole host of players to return including Martial, Wan Bissaka, Shaw and Pogba. A reminder of the fixture in February which was a strange one as there were so many first half subs from them and Bobby also came off injured. I've read that Man U have some impressive defensive stats in terms of conceding shots this year. Going forward though, it appears the only chances they do create is from set pieces. Either way, it's going to be a tough fixture as Klopp has never won at Old Trafford, and we've won only once since 2014. My team? Alisson Trent Matip VVD Robbo Fabinho Keita Wijnaldum Mo Bobby Mane
  5. Nice piece in the times today
  6. Yes, sorry, I keep forgetting to subtract an hour as I'm 1 ahead of UK
  7. Coming in thick and fast off the back of a tough night in Europe for our boys is the first return visit to Anfield of former boss Brendan Rodgers. They're real top 4 contenders this season given the way they've started. This is the last match before another unnecessary and stupid international break. We drew last season at Anfield (remember the slush/sleet?). Hopefully we can get a win and keep our 100% record. My Team (drop Gomez, Hendo and Gini): Adrian Trent Matip VVD Robbo Fabinho Milner Ox Salah Firmino Mane
  8. They destroyed Genk 6 - 2 in the first round of fixtures. A win here is a must considering what happened in Naples. I do however see some changes, across the back 4 (perhaps Gomez back), midfield (Ox to start) and even upfront (Origi in). Must win.
  9. Lunchtime kick offs away from home aren't the easiest regardless of opposition. They're definitely no walkover, as they've drawn at Chelsea and at Bournemouth and despite playing poorly, beat Everton (which may have more to do with Everton). Either way, I still expect us to get 3 points from the match. My team: Adrian TAA Matip VVD Robbo Fabinho Hendo Wijnaldum Salah Firmino Mane
  10. That was our starting lineup last year when they battered us (we were lucky only to concede 1). Keita came off and I think we were okay till he was subbed. Fabinho, Hendo and Sturridge came on later.
  11. I see a bit of rotation for this match. Milner due a run out, Hendo came on as a sub on Saturday so possibly those two start. I'd like Trent to get a bit of a rest, and possibly have Milner at right back. Shaqiri also needs a proper run out, so might actually start. Difficult one to choose
  12. A single-tier Anny becoming the Kop, it would be segregated with the away fans then?
  13. Yes I did read it mate. I don't think he'll rotate yet but there is a risk of burnout for Trent and even Robbo
  14. https://twitter.com/_pauljoyce?lang=en " paul joyce@_pauljoyce·16hThe demands on Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool are huge. He doesn't get much help from Salah, or have Van Dijk on his side of the defence. Klopp: "Against Arsenal he was really good, really aggressive, blocked challenges, smashed his body in. It was his best performance this season"
  15. Suggestions from Paul Joyce that Klopp will start rotating, especially in midfield but possibly putting Gomez at RB. I'd ideally like the midfield rotated only (keeping Fabinho). For Burnley, Ashley Barnes is third top scorer in 2019 and is in good form this season. Always a tough place to play away.
  16. We go again in the league. Lads are going to be absolutely knackered. I'd actually retain Matip in defence and bring Trent back in at RB. Midfield options somewhat diminished if Keita is out. Front 3 picks itself
  17. We're going to have a nice kitty for the Kirkby recroom now
  18. Andy Hunter @AHunterGuardian 11m From FA findings on Sturridge betting case: "On 12 January, Dean (Sturridge, uncle and agent) messaged Daniel “f*** it stay out of squad” “This Inter Milan (interest) is real”. Daniel responded “Cool with me”. Liverpool beat Man City 4-3 on 14 Jan without Sturridge in squad.
  19. magneto on KT I want my 5 pounds back
  20. Is it owned by Kenny Huang?
  21. This game can't come soon enough.
  22. I think this is our 3rd Friday night fixture of the season and precedes the Barcelona away fixture next week (so a few days extra off to prepare for that match). Need to be comfortably in the lead and then substitute our key players ahead of the Barca fixture.
  23. So we hope the Ev beat the Mancs, forcing the Mancs to really go for it against City or risk their top 4 hopes. Need Spurs to beat Citeh on Saturday. For us: Hope Brighton beat Cardiff?
