  1. Tough fixtures ahead this week before the unnecessary interruption of the 2nd international break. Liverpool play City on Sunday so Klopp may feel he doesn't need to rotate too much. Probably the whole first team plays again.
  2. Possibly Seleção Brasileira @BrazilStat Brazil XI in training: Neto; Militão, Marq, Dedé, Sandro; Arthur, Casemiro, Coutinho; Costa, Richarlison, Neymar.
  3. Salah, Mane, Keita, Van Dijk and Wijnaldum should all theoretically be back today in training as they all played on the weekend. Robertson played last night and should also be returning soon and be fine for the weekend. Southgate rumoured to be making 9 changes with Henderson and Gomez being rested so they should be fine as well. Trent may come on for England, but won't play the full match as Walker's rumoured to be starting so Trent will have a bit of time on the pitch but should *touch wood* be okay for Saturday. Shaqiri may play his 2nd match in a few days for Switzerland tonight. He was fantastic for them against Iceland and may actually be a contender for this Spurs fixture. Biggest worries for me are Alisson, Firmino and to a lesser extent Fabinho who play early morning Wednesday and will no doubt be privately flown to England to return Wednesday afternoon. Two days for them to get ready for another early afternoon fixture which the team does relatively poor in. My team for Spurs: Alisson Trent Gomez Van Dijk Robertson Wijnaldum Milner Keita Mane Firmino Salah Bench: Mignolet (should recover in time with finger injury) Shaqiri Sturridge Matip Moreno Henderson Fabinho (assuming Klopp is now happy to include him a matchday squad). Outside chance for Origi, Clyne, Solanke to make the bench as they've had a LOT of rest.

    Welcome VvD

Wijnaldum came off in the Peru friendly at half time as was another player. Wijnaldum played the full match yesterday against France. Van Dijk played both matches and came out unscathed.
  5. This thread has gone south.
  6. Our first of two back-to-back away 12h30 kick offs (albeit separated by an International break). Leicester will be without Vardy who loves a goal against us. I have a feeling we'll be rotating a few players for this one. Nevertheless, always a tough tie at Leicester. Liverpool average 1.44points per game in lunchtime kick offs (stat from March this year).
  7. Story smells like a Staveley-type person who's keen on some action.
  8. Gini and Bobby might be benched. Thinking Studge or Shaq may be starting. Fabinho or Hendo over Gini.
  9. https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2018/august/match-preview-for-liverpool-vs-brighton-and-hove-albion-on-25-aug-18/
  10. Suspect this may be the game to introduce Fabinho into the side. Milner and Gini may be rotated in for Fab and Henderson. Same back 4 Same front 3.
  11. FYI: Michael Oliver's stats
  12. According to Joyce, our "squad has an average height of 5ft 11½in according to recent figures, which makes them the fifth shortest in the Premier League. Champions Manchester City are the smallest at 5ft 11in." "Crystal Palace are the third tallest with an average height of 6ft ½in and the onus will be on Alisson and Virgil van Dijk, who stand at 6ft 4in, to relieve any pressure from set-pieces."
  13. Alisson Trent - Gomez - VVD - Robertson Fabinho Keita Milner Salah Firmino Mane
  14. No, I think they're actually skint. It's a permanent transfer the next window. Even if they get relegated, they have to buy him.
  15. This may be to do with the Echo's new deliberate attempt to get hits to their site (true story). They're going to up the ante on rumours and clickbait.
  16. Are we still in a post transfer window period or pre-transfer window period?
  17. Can we change the title of the thread? Just asking.
  18. Advice for those going: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/liverpool-fc-v-real-madrid-travel-advice Liverpool fans will be seated in blocks 37-55 and 40-56 in the north stand
  19. They host Huddersfield. Chelsea go away to Rafa on the last day.
  20. Not only are the Italians spreading crap about 1000 "British Ultras" but Liverpool fans will apparently "join forces with Lazio fans" . https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/italian-police-chief-accuses-liverpool-12446100
  21. Liverpool should field the same side in the first leg. Roma - Strootman and Perotti were injured for today's win at home to Chievo. Manolas, Florenzi and Under rested. After today's match, Dzeko - “I certainly hope it can be like the Barcelona game… We have to give our all from the start, the stadium will be packed and we’ll do our best. I don’t want to think about the first leg, as it’s better to look forward and we certainly have to do better on home turf. We’ll see what happens. The fans will be behind us, just as they were against Barcelona, and we’ll try to put in a great performance.”
  22. Clyne and Moreno in for the two full backs. Klavan in for Lovren. Midfield is the biggest worry for me. We're down to 3!
  23. Napoli in Dublin (confirmed by their owner). 4 August
