the mancs have only hated ingerlund since becksy wecksy got sent off against argentina. they never had those songs til then and used to give us stick about not being part of the ingerlund scene. even now they still carry st george's flags to the match. we don't sing songs about ingerlund, never have. they're irrelevant to us.

Is right. Playing and scoring for Southampton was one thing but performing under the spotlight at Anfield has been quite an achievement. He's shown himself to be close to the transfer value Rafa placed on him, which would have been a bizarre thing to say in the summer.
