How long did it take you to invent that "escape route", NR? It's so implausible it could almost be true.

What didn't help our ability to last out 90 was that mad rush out after half time to do a 20 second Tiller Girls style rain dance and then sprint into line up positions. Lads didn't have much to offer after that. Andoni won't stand for it.

Just to remind us all whose gig this is, FIFA has requested Egypt to remove the 7 stars from their shirts, As it seems to be a "request", Egypt should surely tell them to f*** off.

https://x.com/Its_ereko/status/2064088397585756417/video/1 INSANE! This is how the Senegal National Team were received upon their arrival to the United States for the 2026 World Cup. US authorities pulling them off the plane for aggressive bag searches, invasive checks, and public degradation right on the tarmac. Top African football giants disrespected like suspects. This is not "security." This is racist arrogance from the host nation that lectures the world on fairness while treating African players like second-class humans. Same America blocking referees, humiliating teams, and showing its true face to the Global South. Senegal, Africa is with you. CAF and FIFA — speak up or remain useless puppets. The World Cup belongs to the world, not to US ego and discrimination. Expose this disgrace. Share widely.

RSA Comment As South Africa, we hosted the World Cup in 2010. Upon the insistence of FIFA & in accordance with the Host Country & Host City Agreements, we had to waiver laws, by-laws, policies, regulations, processes & the like, to ensure that South Africa became the ultimate hosts of the world during the period. We passed special legislation specifically to meet FIFA's hosting requirements for the 2010 World Cup. The most important were the '2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Special Measures Act, 2006 (Act 11 of 2006)' and the 'Second 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Special Measures Act, 2006 (Act 12 of 2006)'. These laws were enacted to give legal effect to the guarantees we had made to FIFA during the bidding process. The special laws effected temporary special provisions & exceptions in certain areas, including: Special visa, work permit, & accreditation arrangements for players, officials, media & visitors. These requirements were not exclusive to South Africa, as Korea & Japan (2002), Germany (2006), Brazil (2014), Russia (2018), Qatar (2022), had to enact the same.

Another massive INSANITY from the United States... Somali referee Omar Artan was denied entry to the United States, even though he's supposed to officiate during the World Cup! Despite the strong support from the Somali embassy in Nairobi, which provided him with a DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT, Mr. Artan had to turn back upon arrival in the USA. We're talking about a person who was elected BEST AFRICAN REFEREE IN 2025! (from Footballogue)

Celtic supporters seem to have got their way over Robbie Keane

Milner retires and is a Spanish Speaker. Hope he’s been asked a question already

It's just an affectionate reference to a character in series 2 of The Wire. Sotirios Kyrgiakos (late Rafa) was also known as the Greek.

Eat the Smarties - obviously avoiding the blue ones.

They ran 7k more than City in that game an 14k! more than we did against VIlla a few days earlier. No "Bielsa effect" in the dying weeks of the season.

Senesi is still a Bournemouth player, no? On a free, Argentina international, just turned 29, played 37 games in the season just finished, would not command a Konaté wage. Even before the Iraola link, it seemed mad to give Spurs a free run.
-
Amateur. Since when did that become a thing? Just avoid operating heavy machinery.

The bookies have been known to make money from what they do. Iraola now clear favourite 6/5 at william Hill 5/4 Sky and PP.
