In the summer, I was a (the original?) Isak-doubter. I didn't like his injury record and for the money I thought we could use it more efficiently. (I think) I've been proven correct on this score and so I should have earnt the respect and trust of the forum to say "No Guehi". He's too short, loses too many aerial battles and is part of a Palace defence shipping about as many as we do. It's this whole Isak-Guehi farrago that IMHO should have cost Swipe his forum position and, instead of showing contrition, he's double downed on Mancy Glasner! Incredible cojones.

We've had our differences muley but I think recently we're agreeing on more. So much so that I think I'm going to jettison Swipe as my Best Forum Friend (BFF) and appoint you. You don't need to do anything, the paperwork has already been filed.

These same posters would have bristled last season at the same suggestions they're now making about Slot v Klopp, the weak league etc. It's mad to me how quickly and thoroughly some have turned on him.

I'm surprised at people saying our players couldn't trap the ball and blaming the manager for that. At some point surely, professional football players don't need telling how to do something basic?

I don't know where the insistence that you *have* to defend your title or lose your job has come from. Very few have ever done it. We didn't even do it under Klopp and I don't remember people saying it was the minimum to keep him in a job.

Don't get me wrong, you've done well with it and in a lot of ways, the jokes on the 14 who thought that was original and worthy of a laughing emoji. My standards are just higher I guess.

This isn't meant as a personal attack on dyl, who has done well there on the reactions but I'm 99% sure someone did that years ago in the Naby Era. Therefore as a non-original post, it's disqualified from any such competition. And yes, I know that this post is a strong contender for post of the year itself and there are questions to answer about conflicts of interest.
