  1. I get the overall point but colleagues move on, you can't down tools because they found new opportunities.

  5. Now now now, it was established long ago on here that there is no "bad" and "good" music.
  6. It's not that I hate them, I think I just missed them in their own time unlike a lot of their fans on here.
  7. Especially as he was so good in the youth world Cup
  8. I don't think things have sunk so low for Harvey that he'd come back to be a masseuse.

  10. This is absolutely mad stuff. Complete projection that by the end of the post is considered fact. You have absolutely no idea why Slot uses and doesn't use particular players. Much less idea if he shares "Guardiola snobbery". Again, I'm staggered by the vitriol aimed at him. "We hired him from f***ing Feyenoord." FFS! So he should be eternally grateful and play Harvey Elliot more because you say so? Even Jürgen didn't make him a regular in the side.
  11. Bar Dom that's a pretty lightweight midfield
  12. I expect more loyalty from a manager than a player. Maybe naive, I don't know. Maybe I'm just spoilt with Jürgen.
  13. Now you've united us, prepare for destruction!
  14. There were some positives but only relative to what's gone before. I don't think anyone is claiming that all is fine and dandy. I am absolutely stunned that people are fed up of Arne. I never thought Liverpool fans would turn on a title winning manager so quickly and it almost feels like gaslighting when your clan are astonished I'm astonished. If we were in a relegation battle I'd understand. The biggest concern to me right now is the Edwards/Hughes duo right at the top because our summer business looks very weird in hindsight and no matter who the manager is, if those two are frauds then we're f***ed.
  15. Meh. He didn't want us two years ago, wanted Madrid. f*** him.
  16. I mean, that kind of language makes you sound pretty mad. Yes, I think privately some in the club knew that the combination of aging core/Diogo/Diaz/Trent would make a title defence hard. They would still expect CL qualification and I'm sure Arne will leave it that's not achieved. Binning him off might make you feel good but who do you replace him with? I'm not convinced about any of the younger managers in the PL. I'd only be happy with a change if Jürgen told us he wanted to come back.
  17. Isn't the £450m the transition though? We had to totally reinvent the first team 18. We don't know how much input Arne had on the £450m either. I guess he accepted the head coach role so he accepted he might not have a lot of say. Isak is the signing I'm most worried about and the one that sticks out the most as unplanned. And you were c**k on for him so essentially this is all your fault. The fullbacks came with very good pedigree but in hindsight might they not have had the exact profile the team needed? I can see a plan with them though. Who knows. You don't. I don't. I think there enough contingencies to our performances for it to be expected but it's also probably a function of my emotional investment in football now (low) compared to others. I can afford to be phlegmatic.
  18. Aye. What the actual f*** has happened to him? Injured? Sulking? Positional issue? He's gone from best midfielder in the PL last year to the worst.
  19. The summer business criminally overlooked centre mid. It's like we got giddy at buying star strikers.
  20. I felt from the moment Trent left this would be a hard season of transition. He was fundamental to the way we played under Klopp and for a number of years. Then Diaz left, who was basically a one man press last year. Then Diogo died which I really don't think anyone appreciates how massive that affected them all. So we've got transition and grief going on at the same time the leadership group are either leaving or declining. A large number of players then arrived, all with a very different profile to who they replaced. I didn't expect us to be close to defending the title. I don't think Arne is managing well this year despite all those issues though. Individually everyone's level has dropped off a cliff including him.
  21. I'm convinced of this, only because of the speed that he's lost a significant proportion of the fanbase and the degree of anger they have towards him. Maybe expectations are higher now.
  22. Not if either of their managers had just won the title. In fact, I bet someone on here would say "ah, that's the defending champions drop-off. It's a really hard thing to do yanow."
  23. I've defended him a lot but this has to change. It looks really desperate.
