Aye, it's really hard to ever get in. I used to get the odd Blackburn ticket on my own fan card years ago. There aren't any 8000 away capacities now to try build up credits I know I'll never have my own tickets ever again cos I didn't get in under Hodgson, when loads of people couldn't be bothered. I used a mate's season ticket instead of building up my own. I'll never own a season ticket and never have the credits on my membership. I also go to as many home games as most season ticket holders I know but they're not in my name so mean nothing. Some fans like not going to cup games and people like me take them, but like the final tickets.

Did yous put all the applications in together for both finals? If one misses out you all miss out which seems a bit stupid. In general it seems as fair as it can be considering how many tickets don't go to fans, though. On season ticket v member thing. A member with all credits for all competitions will generally pay more than a season ticket holder over a season. They'd be season ticket holders if they were lucky enough to have a friend or family member give them one.
