I’m starting to come round more and more to the idea of signing Mbappe.

That first 10 minutes of the second half was insane. We set up so well and worked so hard to win the ball back over and over again and then just collapsed when we actually had it. It’s still a new team but that lack of quality is what cost us. It was the exact spell and manner in which we went 4-1 up against City but we just didn’t have the quality of decision making and execution to repeat the trick. Beyond that, obviously Trent should score but although I think it was a pen, we equalised 5-10 mins later anyway. Assuming we score the pen (who the f*** knows) then it’s not like everything stays the same after that. I don’t think Saka should have been sent off but obviously would have taken it.

So we beat West Ham 5-1. They beat Man Utd 2-0. That means that according to science we would be Man Utd 7-1. Shows science is b******s as last time we played them it was actually 7-0.

It’s one of those where there’s blame to pass around. The club sent Trent round to impress me and talk about how we could work together. I couldn’t get past the fact he was 2 years old. We all could have done stuff differently.

I’ve never understood the stick he gets given what seems clear he can do but the convo with Klopp was illuminating. Jurgen was literally telling him to go do goals and he was worried about managing the game. You could see Jurgen looking at him like “Are you ok lad?”

Their defence is plenty good as far as I can see. I think they could do with a more ruthless attack but we would take 3 of their attackers in our squad without blinking

Oh aye. I really hope we are getting our own Rodri or Rice or we really are changing how midfields work. I mainly just want to acknowledge the lad for doing well recently as sure as f*** if he were s*** I would be holding him up as an example of everything wrong with us. It’s a tacit nod to Jurgen too about his ability to spot a player. He’ll be made up with that.
