It’s very disappointing, sad, unusual that a local lad who’s vice captain of a brilliant team on the up and about to win the league for only the second time in 35 years wants to leave. I’d understand if Slot had a miserable first season but it all feels planned regardless of the current success and it’s basically just really frustrating as the future looks great.
Fair enough he fancies something new and I’m not sure how it could have been handled any differently by the club as they’ve obviously given him time and space to make up his mind.
The only positive from it is that maybe the club were waiting on Trent to make up his mind before sorting out the other two for whatever reasons. Maybe that gets done quickly and announced quickly too.
