  1. hahahhaahhahah that is hilarious!!
  2. Metatarsal curse strikes again! That now twice Rooney has broken a bone in his foot. Other footballers that have also had the injury in recent years: Roy Keane Steven Gerrard David Beckham Gary Neville Michael Owen Ledley King Ashley Cole Danny Murphy Trevor Sinclair That list contains 9 English Internationals (inc Rooney). What on earth is going on? I can't remember a time when players were seemingly breaking bones in their foot again and again or is it simply just highlighted more in today's game? What is to blame for the breaks, purely accidental or is it deeper than that? Something to do with the boots modern day footballers wear? Nature of the English game? Have any players in the continental game had this injury afflicted upon them?
  3. Curbishley resigns at Charlton, before their game kicks off?? Strange time to announce it and walk away.

    2. Mancs P36 W24 D7 L5 F68 A34 GD +34 PTS 79 3. Liverpool P37 W24 D7 L6 F54 A24 GD +30 PTS 79 Mancs play Boro on Monday night, fingers crossed Boro can take something off them. Boro have played well against the big clubs this season, so there is some hope there. Also heard Rooney, Neville and Giggs are major injury doubts for that game. Think we can do it?
  6. Got to say, our defence today has been s****, possibly the worse defensive performance of the season. Villa could of easily scored 4 goals today, but at the same time we could of scored 4. Thats it 3-1 FT!
  7. Yeah, Milner is playing a blinder. What on earth was Reina doing there?!! Comedy of bloody errors today! FOWLER!!!! ooooooooo so close!!
  8. Coming down our left hand side............... Kromkamp has a pop, just wide.
  9. This game is far too open for my liking! Looking like any team could score with each attack. Handy if we got a few more for the goal difference.
  10. My god what a screamer!!! 3-1!!!!! 21st goal of the season, amazing! :woohoo:
  11. Our set pieces today have been poor, Villa equalise........crap 1-1
  12. Mori!!!!!!!!!!! 3mins in!!! 5th goal of the season
  13. Sentiments echoed, I got a feeling next season we will be Chelsea's nearest rivals for the title. I know it and Mourinho knows it, Mourinho is more scared of us and Benitez than the mancs and Ferguson. Ferguson won't be around much longer and I think Mourinho had got in his mindset that Rafa is his long term threat for honours in the future. Next season should be a cracker.
  14. Same here but they deserve it, 2nd place is up for grabs again now. Mancs now only have a 6 goal advantage over us. If we can beat Villa today convincingly, it will certainly pile the pressure on the mancs. They have also lost Rooney for the remainder of the season and they rely on him heavily to win games. I think we can still nick it.
  15. Superb goal from Cole, what on earth was Rio Ferdinand doing for the 3rd goal?! Miles behind his own backline playing Chelsea players 10 yards onside!
  16. That goal was virtually a carbon copy of the goal they scored against us at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season. I remember at the time, the pundits, media were going on about our "zonal marking" being responsible for the goal being conceded. Think this goal today just shows what a load of b******s that was since the mancs don't defend zonally. Isn't it time we criticised man mark defending?
  17. LOL! Boro in the UEFA Cup Final!! Amazing, we could end up with Arsenal v Middlesborough in the Super Cup next season!

    Cisse

Cisse has scored 6 goals in his last 7 games for Liverpool, he deserved a run in the team and it wouldn't suprise me if he plays in the FA Cup Final.
  19. We are currently standing at 22 clean sheets in the League, the second highest in the clubs history behind 78/79 team which achieved 28 clean sheets. In all competitions we currently have 33 clean sheets, the record stands at 34 and has been achieved by three Liverpool teams. The last team who got 34 clean sheets was the treble winning side of 83/84.
  20. Can't see it being overturned by the FA unless the referee admits to an error in his decision. If he doesn't then the FA will back the referee, can't see the FA undermining their own officials.

  23. Agree need to get rid of the white trim off the front of the shirt. The more red the better.

    Cisse

With 3rd place sewn up, any chance of Rafa bringing in a youngster from the reserve team and giving him a taste of first team football before the end of the season? Well with Crouch and Gerrard not playing and Cisse left wing.
  25. Wenger last season...........this was before the Champions League Final. Bet he has changed his tune recently.
