Well he started there because we had no fit right backs. And it was a way to fit him into the team because Wirtz was starting. As the season has progressed it's turned into a situation where we need szoboszlai as a 10, at right back and probably also as an 8.

I am not actually comparing him to gerrard, except to say its a similar principle. What you ignoring is the quality of Szoboslai's performances at rightback. Our rightbacks could be playing really well and still not be as good.

Gerrard was a better fullback than any fullback we had. That didn't say anything about the fullbacks either. Szoboszlai is in great form and makes playing fullback look piss easy because he's fast strong, runs all day and has great delivery. Basically showing he's too good for the role. It's not easy to play to his level.

Yeah. Our midfield played a major part in last year's title win. It was basically Salah Van dijk Midfield / Allison / TAA That made us better than the rest. In that order.

Palace are a really good side and losing to them away isn't indicative of anything. Could happen to the best of teams. We were dead lucky to escape the first 45 minutes 0-1 though. We need to find a higher level against these sides.

So far, the player he most reminds me of is Vladimir Smicer. This isn't me being impatient with him, but if he isn't going to do something somehow to help us win games, we need be giving minutes to players who will. Klopp showed that new players can settle into the team in the first half of the season without much game time.
