    Wouldn't be good if Diaz goes imo. Can blow hot and cold in front of goal but runs all day and tracks back relentlessly. Don't see Rodrygo as someone who would do that from what little I've seen of him. We'd still have Gakkers but even he doesn't have the end-to-end workrate that Diaz has.

    It's the 6 type role I'm a bit concerned about. I guess Mac could fill for Grav but Mac will be getting a lot of minutes anyway so that doesn't really ease the pressure on our first choice midfield. Slot doesn't seem to fancy giving Endo full games and Jones, Szob are not defensive mids.

    Tbh £68m seems low to me. In the current market there's similar money being thrown around for players that haven't achieved anything like the level of Diaz.

    And before you know it, you're Chelsea... Building and maintaining a title winning squad is about more than swapping out player a for better player b. Not changing too much at once, squad cohesion and familiarity, giving opportunities to younger and local players, are all part of it too. Managing those sometimes conflicting elements is the talent of the best Liverpool managers.

    Yeh no animosity towards Darwin and hope they start going in off the post for him. Would've been nice to get a few more quid but we weren't in the best bargaining position it's also fair to say.
