I have a mate who work in the Aberdeenshire area for the RSPB who kept me up to date with how bent this whole affair was but for those who missed Panorama last night this is worth a watch.....

I couldn;t see this piece but I will tell you this about this development.

 

There was always something very fishy going on here. There wasn;t a hell of a lot of support for this in Scotland and it seems like the First Minister (or whatever he is in Scotland) just overrode the whole process. Having a good amount od experience in these matters with the First Minister in Wales, I can tell you that this was a pretty incredible and mystifying development.

 

Trump is one of the world's biggest bullsh*tters. He can easily schmooze and fluster anybody who doesn;t have the balls to stand up to him. I suspect that Salmond got swept away by Trump's hoopla. I take it from Smithy's note that there was some suspicion of some illegality. That's generally not Trumps style, but you never know.

 

For what it's worth, the course that was built really is a good one. For once, his hyperbole was accurate. It's not the greatest course in Scotland (as I'm sure he claims -- he does that with every course he owns), but it is a very worthy recent addition to the roster up there.

Saw this last night. Interviewer was excellent. Portrayed Trump really well and exposed him for the fraud that he is.

 

Salmond was completely besotted and fooled by Trump. Why can't they go after Trump for permitting violations? Surely this was bonded in some way.
