  1. It wasn’t unlucky. The bloke lands on Suarez and it would have been his leg that was injured. He’s a crock. 25% is a world class chance conversion rate. Unfortunately it is also a dreadful percentage of games to be available for.
  2. He’s another who was flying too that Brentford injury. I know he has scored a couple since then but he hasn’t been anywhere near the same
  3. I don’t know what was worse, the attempt (not the not scoring but the not trying to kick it away from the keeper) or that second half disappearing act.
  4. That miss last night was wild. Just try and kick it somewhere the keeper isn’t FFS!
  5. Can I see what happens and then answer using hindsight so I can maintain my perfect record of never being wrong on the internet?
  6. Even so, his performance levels prior to that injury were amazing. Slowing down isn’t legs gone. He is playing like Sam Beckett is in his body but “older” players have form issues too.
  7. In the space of a 3 week injury after that great sub performance v Brentford?
  8. It’s not just cos they’re both Dutch though. I’m going to create a safe space for those who look at this bald Dutch fella who has done alright in their league and think “Surely the gods are looking at us and thinking that they have just run the experiment at our mortal enemies to show us the results” Plus this is the sort of s*** that only white people can get away with. If there was an Indian fella with an overbite from some middling league tanking the Mancs and our new old nerds came back in and said “Here’s another Indian fella with an overbite from the same league with a slightly worse record. He’s dead different”, there’s no way it would stand. It wouldn’t have got this far.
  9. It would be incredibly powerful if a team that had a decision go for them questioned what a ref was doing.
  10. I’d take us being on the right end of it
  11. I hope the sole criterion for entry into heaven is how much you loved Nunez. I feel like it might be the only worthy thing I have ever done in my life.
  12. Neville was having a meltdown. It would almost be fine but his argument that the refereeing intimidation that his gaffer did was honourable and correct but this new breed of it is a stain on the game was wild. I wonder if his identity is so bound up in everything he and they won was fair and honest that it is making him talk nonsense. FWIW, I think they were consistently the best team so he can just let it go and acknowledge reality without treating it like a trap or breaking his brain.
  13. There was something about being scared of Keane or something I think. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe there was something in addition to that.
