If so, we could do with him in our squad. If we play Gerrard in the centre with Cisse wide and Nando and Crouch up front, it means we have no strikers on the bench ? We could do with back up.

 

Was also thinking of how Kewell has played as a support striker in the cup finals with Riise left wing, another possibility. But my main question is Pongolle ?

If Xabi is out, then all three strikers will probably start, which leaves us very short of attacking options off the bench. Pongo would be ideal but not sure of his situation.

Hopefully Xabi will be ok, and Elisha seems to think he's fine

Flo may get on the bench but will not start. May get a run out if we finish the game off early or if we need to inject a bit of energy, would be nice for him to bag a medal if he's off.

 

I expect the same starting lineup as per Pompey except Cisse/Crouch up front and Hamman in the middle, hopefully containing Teddy.

 

EDIT: I'm assuming Xabi will not recover, although fingers crossed.

France Under-21 international Florent Sinama-Pongolle is training with former club Le Havre with doubts continuing to surround the player's future.

 

As the Liverpool striker prepares for the Uefa European Under-21 championships which take place in Portugal later this month, his club future remains unresolved.
