fantastic striker, one of the best in the league.

148 goals in 208 appearances

 

magnificent stats. equally impressive is the fact that he's scored all those goals while winning the derby, the st leger, the grand national, the triple crown and the olympic springboard diving.

I'm afraid our survey says yes.

 

But just for the record, Van Nistelrooy is a fine striker with a great goal ratio, but he forces you to play a very specific type of football. You were a better team with better striking options with Cole and Yorke up front then with Ruud. Rooney is an excellent player, but I think he'd do better with a different striking partner as well.

 

And yes a thread started by a United fan started simply for backslapping self gratification is irreverent nonsense.

we are playing entertaining football and winning matches at the same time, is that supposed to be negative ? rooney has linked up quite superbly with ruud, the two of them combined has scored 29 goals, one goal less than the entire liverpool squad put together.

I didn't say he couldn't score goals, I simply said I believe he is to restrictive in his play.

 

You're right about the entertaining. That league game against Blackburn was fabulous.

 

Also Liverpool have scored 31 goals.

atleast according to vgs premier league stats.

 

rooney has played alongside saha as well, wasnt a big success.

playing alongside ruud has been a great partnership,we are finally starting to score plenty of goals.

are we restricted ? he`s the perfect striker for us and he has really improved as well.

 

yes, it was quite entertaining, football wasnt that good ,still 7 goals.

 

yeah, our defence hasnt been that great this season, though it is more a result of lack of midfield support. we dont have a defensive midfielder protecting our defenders, so we are put under more pressure
