Ripley Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 (edited) Mark Wright has said he will appeal over his dismissal by Peterborough for alleged racist comments made to a club defender. "You've got the body of a white man and the brain of a black man", were the offending words apparently. It follows his verbal attack on a black referee in 2001, where his defence was, "I have no time for the politically correct world. I have a lot of black and Asian friends. The reality is that I was just having a go at a referee. The fact that he was coloured is neither here nor there" Courtesy of The Observer Can we re-run the most hated former players poll? Crazy Horse Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Well that's me all offended then. As a white man, I'm terribly hurt by the implication that black men's bodies are superior. Burn him.
Ombudsam Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 He couldn't have said that and used the defence he did. That wouldn't make any sense. I don't buy this
Bailo Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 He couldn't have said that and used the defence he did. That wouldn't make any sense. I don't buy thisThe excuse up there he used was for the first case of racism brought against him, not this one.

Ombudsam Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The excuse up there he used was for the first case of racism brought against him, not this one. just as well you can't use previous when analysing different cases then. He'd be right up schit creek. In RP style i'll ask "Did they actually surgically implant a black man's brain into a white referees body?"
