newcastle fans are f***ing hypocrites....they try to take over pubs left right and centre pre game...you try and do what they do in Newcastle pre match and youll get a smack

Also singing "Youll never play for England to Crouchy.." good..I dont want him to either..thick t***s

The reception Owen got was terrible, and unlike us...that needs to be cut out

Some of your football today was sensational/...Xabi, Crouch, Moro and gerrard were fantastic...The best football I have seen from us in many a year at times today

Our movement off the ball is the best I've seen it, it used to be awful under GH, but Rafa has turned down around quickly. We pull defences all over the place and move the ball so quickly they haven't got time to react. We were brilliant today, could have given Newcastle a real battering.

In all fairness, Owen scored a bagload in a Liverpool team designed to give him the ball ALL the time. He wouldn't last a second in our new style of play. Maybe on the right flank, but if we had him in the center, our offense would break every possesion just like it did before... Back to counter attacking with long balls down the ground to Owen. No thank you.. Rather have Crouchy, he is scoring now as well..

and the fact a few days back in the paper he wrote about it being just another game

And he also said that he'd celebrate like normal if he scored.

Compare this to Fowler. Anelka scored to win the game the other season for City, 9 outfield players celebrate with Anelka, Fowler walks back to the centre circle with his head down, looking like sh*t.

Thought that meself at times. Out passing and movement was excellent at times and a real joy to watch. And not once did I feel nerves about Newcastle getting back into the game. The only caveat is that they were f*cking awful. Still, I can see this type of performance becoming the norm for us and it fills me with glee. :D

Why would Benitez want him then if he doesn´t fit his system ?

Some great one-touch, pass & move and slide-rule passes today. But Crouch clearing the ball while stood on his head was the true moment of skill.

Some of the passing and movement was delightful. That's the way football should be played, simple and effective.

The first goal was all about intelligent movement and the use of Crouchy's physical strength to take the ball on, his superb control of a football and Stevie's powerful running and excellent finishing.

We're now such an obviously well coached side. Each player seems to have a great understanding where their fellow players are, which runs they will make. There's obviously some special stuff going on in training and match preparation.

We're a force to be reckoned with now. I'd say for the first time since the late 80's. Ged had a very good team but it wasn't one that truly scared every other team in England or Europe.

Now, nobody home or abroad would relish playing us. And we are improving all the time too. Be afraid, Chelski, ManUre, Barca, Milan and co, be very afraid.

Thommo said in an interview post-Istanbul that our team last season wasn't made to take the game to the opposition (in light of us going behing in the 1st minute).

That's been addressed. After yesterday's performance, and the many over the last couple months, it's confirmed that, surely.

Need to be ruthless in finishing off chances... lots of attempts could easily have been goals with a bit more determination and desire.

The few who boo-ed owen were out of order really , not much else to say about it.

you see...sometimes I wonder....We need to be more ruthless???

Kewell shot saved (SOMEHOW) by Given

Morientes mazy run saved by Given

Solano blatant handball

cisse shot saved by given

thats just off the top of my head

the only chances where we were not ruthless with was Garcia missing from a yard out

we were exceptional, enjoy it ffs

It's funny, I remember him celebrating all over the place like a maniac when he equalised against us in the last minute at their place two seasons back.

yeah tbh though he had gone on a run of not scoring

he has always been fantastic tio us since he left..to the point of ignoring City fans on the last game when he scored...putting Stevie G's shirt on, the normal way round

you cant blame him for showing emotion in a situation like that was COMS

Wasn't in front of the Kop and it was a last minute equaliser for a team who nearly got relegated that season.

So? You said compare to Fowler. So I did. And he also celebrated after scoring against us, just like Owen would've done if he'd scored. Luckily he didn't touch the ball for 90 minutes. :)
