Moving to the Countryside

So after growing up in Liverpool for the first 28 years of my life before moving to Cronton, we are now moving further off into Cheshire. We have agreed a price on our house, and to buy in a location which is really pretty rural, near Tarporley.

 

Feels like a big step away from all the friends and family but it's going to be a really nice place for the kids to grow up - peaceful, feels right. Our business will still be in Liverpool so I'm going to commute and stay in touch with the city. Has anyone else done something similar? Did it work?
