Good but not great players who would be great in our current team

Yeah, this is a fairly specific topic requirement, but naming world class players as players you think would strengthen the team is awfully boring. Figured it would be more fun to look at the second stringers who has/had all the right attributes to fit into our current Liverpool side.

 

I think Andy Cole would be terrific in this side. He was good in the buildup, decent technique, liked to combine for a centreforward, but was always chasing chances.

 

Paul Merson on the wing would be a great asset as well.
