Pubs near Stoke train station

[Guest PaulMcC]

Anyone know any that allowed away fans in?

Never been there on match day.

The Glebe was always a decent pub, that's a 5/10 minute walk. As is the Corner Cupboard in the other direction. Great for a nice pint of Bass.

How are you getting to the ground?

Cheers. Hopefully they let away fans in.

Getting a bus or taxi to the ground.

Watch yourself. Their fans still live in the 80s.

went to uni there. Think you're struggle to find a decent pub, let alone one that lets away fans in! the place use to be on lock down on big match days, and they were in Div 2 then.

Got a weatherspoons and a few others in Stoke town, but wouldnt recommend them. Use to have the Roebuck (yellow pub left of station). student pub so might not get many footy fans in there which could be a good thing. I'd go straight to the ground if I was going, grim place to hang round.

If you're just wanting a bevvy before the match then get up to the ground and head for that big Harvester, was full of Reds when I was last there in 2009.
