Gravy Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 My old man (Sniffer) has just had LFC on the phone asking if I am renewing the season tickets. Told them I wouldn't because of the economic situation and the fact that I'm fed up with the shenanigans surrounding the club. She replied "You're not the only one." Would be great if they didn't sell them all through protests!!
Gunga Din Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 i'm sure for everyone giving their seasie back to the club (and i doubt its very many) there will be plenty willing to take them up
DanielS Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 i'm sure for everyone giving their seasie back to the club (and i doubt its very many) there will be plenty willing to take them up At least he's put his ST where his mouth is.
Gunga Din Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 At least he's put his ST where his mouth is. this place is full of cranks
Gravy Posted June 24, 2010 Author Posted June 24, 2010 i'm sure for everyone giving their seasie back to the club (and i doubt its very many) there will be plenty willing to take them up Yep, and there lies the problem eh!
Gunga Din Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Yep, and there lies the problem eh! indeed. and its not one that going to go away either
Jarg Armani Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 i'm sure for everyone giving their seasie back to the club (and i doubt its very many) there will be plenty willing to take them up What's the point in this post mate? I know loads of people who still haven't renewed and may not, and 3 people who definitely aren't renewing. In protest at the state of the club. Who are you to tell them that they aren't making a difference? Also, the woman on the phone seems to contradict your bracketed assertion.
downunder Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) Yep, and there lies the problem eh! The club and the team should be separated at times. The team needs the support at all times, whatever the circumstances, and going to the games is part of that. If I was still in UK I would stop buying food etc at the ground, but nothing would stop me watching the team I love. I have supported the team for 36years, the clowns have been in charge for 3, they will be gone soon but my passion for the 11 on the pitch will never waiver....whoever is paying their wages. Also, the woman on the phone seems to contradict your bracketed assertion. the point in this post is very simple. if you give your seasie up and hand it back to the club as a protest about the owners then you are cutting your nose off to spite your face. its pointless. LFC will be here forever. they wont. you hand your seasie back to the club, you wont get it back for a long time, maybe never. people will take your place. Gravy doesnt renew, then the club offer it to someone else, they take it. is teh club any worse off? no. infact, they may end up better off, as the new ST holder, in awae at the novelty factor of it all, will likely furnish himself with all sorts of Liverpool parafinalia and put more money into the club coffers. the owners wont lose, they cant lose, as long as there is a waiting list, the only one who loses out is Gravy

Also, the woman on the phone seems to contradict your bracketed assertion.I think its more economic than a protest though. A day tripping manc loving manc (the worst sort) mate of mine has been called yesterday and offered as many as he wants at the leper colony. £800 each with compulsory purchase of the cup games. Ive renewed mine as I am looking forward to the peace and quiet during the 0-0 draws

And if you are right, sound. At least they've drawn a line and won't have the piss taken out of them beyond that point.
johngibo YPC Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I've been offered 4 season tickets 'on loan' for next season. I don't think i have ever been offered any beforeI wonder what these people will do with them if they can't find any takers?
Metro Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 The club and the team should be separated at times. I have supported the team for 36years, the clowns have been in charge for 3, they will be gone soon but my passion for the 11 on the pitch will never waiver....whoever is paying their wages. I'm not going to make any comment on the rights and wrongs of this in view of the fact that my action seems to have triggered off this thread. All I will say is I have no intention of paying anything to these clowns and if everyone else did the same, they would soon be forced out. However, I am realistic enough to realise that's not going to happen. However, my name was on two of those STs at £2,100 shot and the only people I can think of who might take these type of tickets up are corporate - assuming the economic situation doesn't discourage them. Oh, and I have supported the team for 67 years, by the way, and my passion doesn't waiver either. But I can't think of any more meaningful way personally for me to show my disgust. Pity more don't do it, that's all.

I have been on the waiting list since 1997 and IF I were to be offered an ST I would take it despite my hatred of the owners as I wouldn't want to then wait another 13 years. Sorry if people think this is supporting the owners but I am sure most people on the waiting list would say the same.
john_lfc Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I've just had one changed into my name, and was given the actual ticket but was told that the Card would come in the post. That was coming up to two weeks ago Anybody know how long it usually takes for it to be sent?

That was coming up to two weeks ago Anybody know how long it usually takes for it to be sent? I changed one over last year. They re-print fan cards as one batch job, so they will wait til all change requests are in before ordering the print run. If I remember correctly I didn't get mine until about a week before the season started.
saltysam Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Hi guys-quick question-may have a chance of an ST,the guy is talking of giving it up permanently.is the process of getting it transferred into my name & address straightforward? how do i go about it,indeed do the club allow it?

Billy Dane Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 He'll need to include a copy of a utility bill or something with his name address on it to prove his identity as well.
john_lfc Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Still haven't received my card in the post yet. Thought they would of sent them out by now considering we have Europa League Qualifiers coming up. Any news when they are being sent?
theredfella Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 you just need to get your mate to write to the club and ask them to change the name on it Is it as straightforward as that? I've just recently bought one off my mate but thought that it had to stay in his name as if the club thought that he was giving it up then they would reclaim it for themselves.
allez les rouges Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 you just need to get your mate to write to the club and ask them to change the name on it as i understand its non transferable. But you can change address of course

If this isn't the case and a person can actually nominate anybody they like to take their ST over then this club is being run even more abysmally than I had ever imagined. Is this really how it is?
