Baggage Carousels at the Airport

Believe me, you don't get your bags any faster by standing right up against the edge and craning your neck down the line.

If everyone just stood back a yard - say behind that yellow line that says 'stand here' - then everyone can see, more people can get round, and there is plenty of room to pick your bags up. But no sooner do a few like-minded people try to show common-sense, and stand back, then some tw*t - usually with their obnoxious kids in tow - takes that as an invitation to barge in front of you and take up position right by the belt so you can't see a thing or get at your bags when they do come round.

At least there is then the pleasure to be had of swinging your bag off and making sure it smacks the kid - who don't ever appear to understand the concept of getting out of the way, primarily because their idiot parents haven't bothered to inculcate them with any social awareness - right in the shins.
