My brother is a quack & lives in Nantwich. He was recently talking to another doctor (at Leighton Hosp in Crewe, I think) who was talking about when FC United came to town - to play Nantwich.

 

Nantwich had to put on a massive (for their relative size) police presence because of the number of FCU fans coming down & it appeared they are/were ready for trouble, according to the bizzies many of them carrying knives.

 

One of them had a knife hidden in his waistband, under his top & when he sat down, managed to stab himself in the gut requiring a journey to the hozzie for stitches - which is where this story started.
