FA charges Liverpool's Sammy Lee with improper conduct

• Lee charged for row with fourth official Stuart Attwell

• Ferguson and Lambert charged for separate incidents

Liverpool's assistant manager, Sammy Lee, has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after a clash with the fourth official, Stuart Attwell, during the defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. The 50-year-old was subsequently sent off by the referee, Phil Dowd.

The Peterborough manager, Darren Ferguson, and Norwich's manager, Paul Lambert, have also been charged with improper conduct.

Ferguson's charge relates to the use of abusive language. Lambert's follows his dismissal from the dugout when manager of Colchester in their match against Yeovil Town on 16 August.

The FA has also asked the Crystal Palace chairman, Simon Jordan, to explain his comments after the Championship side were denied a goal by referee Rob Shoebridge in their league defeat at Bristol City on 15 August.
