The place to watch is Cheers bar in Sydney at silly o'clock. I run The Australian Supporters club, and hopefully the owners here don't mind me advertising it!

www.lfcdownunder.com.au, the main site is not that hot but the forum is good (for us in Aus).

We used to watch the match at The Bondi Diggers Club or The Bondi Hotel, it all kicked off during the Rob Jones Man Utd game in quite a big way I seem to recall.

Fond memories of watching matches at the Harbord Diggers, just outside Manly.

Thats a cracking place to watch the match, I think its open all night. I got thrown out of there twice, once on Xmas day and once after England got beat by Argentina in France 98.

Good times.

Or the Kings Cross hotel shows matches, or The Steyn or Manpac in Manly show matches.

Now every game is on TV, you need to find the correct pub that will select us from the choice of games. Cheers pub does this.

I've been in Sydney for 9 years and for the past 5 years have watched matches at The Aurora in Surry Hills. There's rarely more than 15 reds in there and maybe 20-30 fans in all for a big game, but they're a friendly bunch and 99/100 the Liverpool game will be on if available.

can you jump on our forum and tell other NSW reds that's where you go? We are trying to get as much info on there so people know where to watch.

The Manly Pacific, pretty sure I saw football in there. Was a while ago though and I was usually drunk, so I could be wrong.

I lived on Ashburner Street and worked as a bouncer in the Shark Bar.

Lovely place Manly.

lovely place it is... love the kebabs, fish n chips...

a bitch to get there by bus, the ferry's fine if you are not drunk and reeking with the smell of alcohol when you board the ferry!!! :cooler:

plus, with the up n down of the ferry, one can get a quick vomit over the railings!!!

you wouldn't catch Brian Reade pissing about at EuroDisney when the reds are playing....

You don't think wanting to slope away from my kids at Disneyland to watch us play the mighty Wigan constitutes a tad of commitment ?

Also, that would be about the 3rd home match I won't have been present at in the last 20 years. How about you ?

Seem to recall that in his book Brian Reade decided his commitment was so great that he could actally manage to not even watch us at all for a few years. He's nothing byt a modern day, post sky, Nick Hornby-esque, johnny come lately, trying to use the technicality of his scouse birhplace as some sort of badge of authenticity.

'HTH'.

Anyone know where to watch the Wigan game near EuroDisney next week ? No, Seriously.

I know how to get into Paris to see it, but wonder if anyone knew anywhere really close.

We stayed at Thomas Cook Explorers Hotel just outside the park itself, had Canal+ and Sky Sports in the bar.

Nice one. Thanks for that.

Is it walkable from the Park area ? I'm staying in the 'Disneyland Paris Hotel', which kinda sits in front of the theme park itself.

Was the bar prone to showing relatively niche premiership matches on Canal + while you were there ? (if that doesn't sound an unreasonable question).
