Maybe beause of Khalid Boulahrouz duaghter who died prematurely?

They sing it at every tournment, I was there at Euro 96 when they sang it at Wembley

I went to an Ajax game once (against FC Twente, I didn't register it at the time obviously but Westerveld was in goal - Litmanen scored for Ajax too) and they sang it there. I thought they were singing it especially to welcome me to their ground, but on second thoughts they probably didn't even know I was there.

EDIT: On reflection I think Sander had fecked off to Vitesse Arnhem by then.

The Spanish fans' songs and chanting was very English sounding (tune-wise), even heard them doing a version of our Mascherano/Seven-Nation Army song.

That seven nation army seems to be sung at every game.

What pisses me off big time is that nonce music they play whenever a goal is scored. Even after the penos they were at it. So f***ing small time and pathetic that can completely take away from the moment.

Twente have sung it as their anthem for donkeys years - since about the mid 70's.
