Dave Usher has said he's heard a rumour (and it is only a rumour) that it's in Brouwers contract that he must play.

Lindfield isn't injured, he just isn't getting a look in, which I find amazing. There's a suggestion that Brouwer has something in his contract that says he has to play. I hope that isn't true, but it's as good an explanation as any.
