Let's hope he has more luck with injuries this time around - it's just a shame we didn't see more of jari as he was great when he did play!

Jari back in Prem

Fulham have secured the services of Finnish legend Jari Litmanen for the remainder of the season.

Litmanen had been training with The Cottagers in a bid to win a deal and clearly did enough for manager Roy Hodgson.

The 36-year-old brings a wealth of experience to Craven Cottage having played for Ajax, Barcelona and Liverpool during his lengthy career.

"I don't think there is a need to explain the qualities that Jari possesses as a player or the obvious reasons for wanting to bring him to Fulham, and I am delighted that he has agreed to join us for the remaining months of the season," he told the club's official website.

Skill and experience

"Although he is not entirely match fit at the moment, I have no doubt that he will have a big part to play over the coming months and that we shall benefit as a team from his skill and experience."

Litmanen is not the only addition on transfer deadline day as Finland international defender Toni Kallio has also signed for The Cottagers.

Kallio, who joins from Swiss outfit BSC Young Boys, has been capped 15 times by his country and can operate at left-back and centre half.

'Kinell, his legs had gone when he was with us. If he's their saviour... rush and put a fiver on them to go down. They've done some poor business during this window.

Well, Hodgson knows all about his legs having been the Finnish national team coach for the past couple of years.

Crawling over the hill more like it. In addition to his normal injuries he was out for a while in Malmö when someone opened a bottle and the cap flew into his eye. I think it's time to take the hint when things like that happen, it's getting beyond merely being injury prone.

I think he also hurt his back when he slipped on some stairs while in Malmö. Pensioner stuff.

But we'll see. Premiership relegation battle is the last place where you'd think anyone that age would be willing to play.

Maybe Hodgson thinks he can utilize Jari's experience and professional attitude outside the field of play? He's not there for cracking jokes in the dressing room, that's for sure...

Jari had the most unique dribbling style I've ever seen, little sharp right angles, he used to practise them on the pitch in the warm ups.

And then do f*** all of them during a match.

Most disappointing signing of recent times - along with Kewell and Morientes.

Have to agree with Big Jan, who was on LFC.tv saying that it's criminal how a club can take Litmanen and not incorporate him in the team somehow, referring to him being very much under-used at LFC.

That train has long gone, mind.

You can't incorporate someone into the team that only plays 2 in 4 games due to injury.

I loved Jari, but I don't swallow the fact that it was Ged's fault he never succeeded here.
