Bloody hell. Undefeated, got a good away point against a side that have won seven on the trot, only six points off the top, Torres, Agger & Alonso to come back, Kewell lookign like he's going to make a big contribution, and if the Sunday papers are to be believed, £25M to spend in January and Riise on his way out.

Not all bad, is it?

There were even signs on Saturday that we'd stopped stupidly giving the ball away ALL the time, and, for the purists, the last 20 minutes we played looked pretty decent, bar Kuyt's finishing.

Personally I'm happy with that result all things considered. Blackburn are on flying form this season so a draw was exceptable. Right now poor old Rafa is in Ged's final season territory regarding the fans. Whatever happens he can't win. He'll have to drag us on a massive winning run to shake off the current cloud hanging over him.

Don´t forget that Momo hardly put a foot wrong all game and his passing was as good as anybody´s. He deserves praise for this game.

I watched Momo, he did make one or two slips, but definitely, hsi use of the ball was streets ahead of what it has been.

I think the players and manager are working pretty hard to play themselves out of this slump. And I think there's a lot more to come from the team - we haven't hit any kind of stride yet.

The fact that we are still 6 points off with a game in hand is amazing considering how completly garbage we've been. That's a positive at least.

That, for me, is the Silver Lining. Kewell looked good when he came on but I dont expect him to stay fit and make a contribution.

There's obviously a lot more to come from us but will it come soon enough for us to mount a proper/half decent title challenge? I'm starting to think it won't. I'm not one of these miserable c**** that wants Rafa "replacing", but we need to win the next five in the league, especially the fifth of the five, if we're to have any real chance of being "there or there-abouts" at the end of the season. Given our current form, I can't see it happening.

Most teams will play us believing they can take points off us. Fulham are s*** at the back and might crack and Bolton are looking to take points off the s**** around them rather than the top 6-8, so we should be taking six points against those two. Newcastle and Reading, though will think they can get at least a point off us and Man United will come here expecting to beat us, especially if this indifferent form continues, which is why we need to win the four before. Little bit of momentum.

We're definitely not out the title race yet but we might be come the 16th of December. We need see "a lot more" from the team now.

we are 6 behind Arsenal and played the same games.

Good point. Well to be fair to Arsenal they've come out of the blocks brilliantly. Shockingly so in fact. I didn't think they had it in them but let see if it lasts.

Things are far from well with us right now so I can only take solace from the fact that we are still in with a shout. We still have the league to play for so the players won't have let their motivation slip just yet. I really don't think things are going to plan this season but a quick look at the table suggests they are not as bad as some would make you believe on here.

i reckon 0-0 is a decent result. we're not playing great atm and arent scoring goals. we know our goal threat wasnt good enough last sesaon and it brought about a little outburst from a certain spaniard thats normally calm and collected so he could get a few more quid to blow in the summer. extra cash blown and unfortuantely torres gets injured, but c'est les vie. we're normally well out of the running by now and this year we're clearly not.

anyhow, i've digressed. like i said im pleased with the blackburn result but one of the things that niggled me was how often captain fantastic gave the ball away. sure he made some awesome hollywood passes during the game but he balls up basic ones quite a few times. i'm sure some will find reason to fault rafa for that but sadly our lot just arent playing well of late - any of them - so to place blame on one person nonsense.

think things are a long way from GH final seaon. We are not clicking at the minute but i am sure Rafa will sort it and we will go on a great run shorlty, hopefully lasting well over the christmas fixtures. Unbeaten so far will do me.

I reckon some of the more vocal folks on here will never give up on the 'get Rafa out' stuff now. For some (not mentioning names) it seems to have become a campaign and, whatever happens from here on, he will never be afforded the same respect or patience by them again.

These voices will be heard everytime we have a "bad" result, or Scouser subbed in a derby, from now on.

The only way i can look at it is that in 11 games since we played Derby we've only performed well once. And that was against Reading reserves. And in the long run it's the performances that determine the results

This isn't a slump, or a mini crisis. It's a crisis. The difference in ability between us and the top two is huge and far too big for us to overcome. That's before we even talk about Chelsea. The idea of us winning the league this season is fanciful in the extreme.

So yes we may be unbeaten but we're as far away from winning the league as at any point in recent times

=Misery

The problem with all that, and why everyone seems to take sides, is that most of that is opinion. You don't have the facts to back it up, because if we were 12+pts behind Utd, everyone would be in the "misery" camp. But 6pts with a game in hand doesn't mean we're out of the League, however badly we're playing right now.

If we play as badly when Alonso is back it will be a crisis, untill then we just struggle because we have lost our most important player, we should be able to step it up even with him out but we are not and the fact two of our other ball players are out as well does not help much either.

I think we will be above Arsenal at the turn of the year, and personally I see Chelsea and the mancs as the teams to beat.
